00:00Canada, by the way, imposes a 250 to 300 percent tariff on many of our dairy products.
00:24They do the first can of milk.
00:28They do the first little carton of milk at a very low price, but after that it gets bad
00:32and then it gets up to 275, 300 percent.
00:36So when they're figuring what's Canada charging, they say, oh, about 2 percent, 3 percent.
00:41But take a look at what happens down the road.
00:43When you look a little bit, it's not a pretty picture and we don't like it and it's not
00:47fair.
00:48It's not fair to our farmers.
00:49It's not fair to our country.
00:51And with countries like Canada, you know, we subsidize a lot of countries and keep them
00:57going and keep them in business.
00:59In the case of Mexico, it's 300 billion dollars a year.
01:03In the case of Canada, it's close to 200 billion dollars a year.
01:07And I say, why are we doing this?
01:09Why are we doing this?
01:10I mean, at what point do we say you got to work for yourselves and you got it?
01:15This is why we have the big deficits.
01:17This is why we have that amount of debt that's been placed on our heads over the last number
01:23of years.
01:24And we're really not taking it anymore.
01:26You know, friends, we're here today because today's the day that Donald Trump's going
01:30to impose his tariffs on us.
01:32It's a day that Donald Trump's attacking our workers.
01:35And so we've got a message to Donald Trump.
01:38New Democrats and workers are going to fight back and defend our jobs and our country.
01:43We're ready to fight back.
01:49You know, Donald Trump is attacking not just our country, attacking our workers and our
01:55very way of life.
01:56He wants us to compromise our values.
01:59He wants to compromise in who we are.
02:02We will not compromise.
02:03We will not back down.
02:05We will not give up.
02:06And we will win this fight.
02:14You know, Donald Trump represents a storm.
02:16He's an arsonist.
02:18He's setting fire to the economy, his own economy, and ours as well.
02:21He represents a storm.
02:23And in that storm, in that difficult time, Canadians know how to weather a storm.
02:28Canadians know how to get through a difficult time.
02:30And we do that by looking out for each other.
02:33We do that by supporting each other.
02:35We do that by taking care of our neighbours.
02:38That's what we do as Canadians.
02:39The way we fight back against Donald Trump is doubling down on who we are as Canadians
02:44and our value, that we are better off and we are stronger when we look out for one another.
