00:09this year by featuring daughter River Rose on the April 2nd broadcast of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

00:14The American Idol winner announces at the top of the broadcast before noting the 10-year-old

00:18was shadowing showrunner Alex Judah for the day.

00:21My daughter is here today.

00:22Oh my god, you have a mic! You're so fancy!

00:32Kelly, who also shares 8-year-old son Remington Remy Alexander with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock,

00:37also notes River attended all the meetings that morning.

00:40River even dressed the part and rocked a headset and clipboard for the guest-producing gig.

00:44And while Kelly was interviewing Whitney Cummings during the episode,

00:47the comedian couldn't help but tell a behind-the-scenes story to embarrass the singer.

00:51So I was interrogating River earlier and my favorite was I said,

00:56I was like, what's the thing that annoys your mom the most?

01:01What do you think it is?

01:02Is it when she calls me Kelly?

01:03Yes! Yes! Yes! That's what it was! That's what it was!

01:09Meanwhile, Kelly recently got candid about her kids giving her a hard time for missing

01:13daytime school events because of her weekday work schedule. She lamented to

01:17Kylie Kelsey during a March 25th episode of We're Not Gonna Lie podcast.

01:21And then the thing too, I don't know if you get this because you're a working parent, but it's

01:24like, why do schools have things in the middle of the f***ing day? Like, oh, your daughter has

01:33a performance. Cool. I get to be the a**hole that misses it because you decided that it would be a

01:39real opportune moment at 10 a.m. on a Thursday. On a Thursday when we're out here hustling,

01:47like, I read a lot of mouths, you know what I'm saying? So I got, you know, and I'm like,

01:51and then she's like, why weren't you there? This person's mommy was there. And I was like,

01:55congratulations to her because she made different decisions

01:58that led to her being able to be there at Thursday at 10 a.m.
