00:00You just came out of court right now, can you tell me a little bit about what happened
00:05in there today?
00:06Well, we had a really good judge and he did put Weston on a mental health diversion, and
00:13I'm happy that he's going to go get some help.
00:17I read my statement to the judge, my son got to hear for the first time.
00:25I'm not going to stop what I'm doing.
00:27I'm going to be out there fighting to help Angelenos, Nathan Hoshman, I wrote you a letter,
00:33I dropped it off, I called your office, I really would like to work with you on mental
00:38health in Los Angeles, police reform, for the police to know how to arrive and help
00:45a victim that's bleeding on the ground, as much as helping the person that has mental
00:51health, you'll hear from me.
00:52I'm heartbroken, I love you Weston, I'm just heartbroken right now.
00:58Has your son offered you an apology?
01:02I have no apology, no remorse, no accountability.
01:07Do you know if your son's been getting the help that he needs for his mental health?
01:13I don't know anything.
01:14Do you feel like the LAPD could have done more to help you that night?
01:19I called them and I needed them, I called 911, many people called 911, we all asked
01:26for help.
01:27When you got there you left me on the ground bleeding out of my eye, needing ambulance,
01:33needing health, I needed an ambulance, I needed medical attention, so you know, when you can't
01:40call 911 you're supposed to help.
01:44You have to help the victim, you have to help the person that's having the mental breakdown.
01:49This is crazy, that's why I'm doing police reform, watch me, you need a woman like me,
01:55you need a mother like me, you need a woman to step in, I hope Nathan Rehoshman, please
02:02district attorney, please call me, let's go.
02:05I will be there to help.
02:07What do you want him to help you with?
02:09Police reform, they need to know how to come and when there's a victim, when there's a
02:15victim bleeding on the ground, how do you help the victim that was assaulted?
02:21What's a message you would like to send to your son?
02:23I know you're not able to talk to him, I mean, it's been months now, I mean, what's a message
02:27you would like to send to him?
02:28I said in the court, I love you son.
