00:00I'm now going to recognize the chairman of the full committee.
00:05Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
00:06The previous speaker talked about facts.
00:07Here's one fact I know.
00:09It's night and day dealing with the Bondi-Patel Justice Department versus the Garland-Ray Justice
00:15Department.
00:16Under Pam Bondi as Attorney General, the Foreign Influence Task Force, that group that was
00:22responsible for censoring Americans, has been disbanded.
00:25The school board's memorandum has been rescinded.
00:29We sent seven subpoenas to Kash Patel five weeks ago.
00:31The response we've gotten is unbelievable compared to what we got under the previous
00:35Justice Department.
00:36He's actually given us thousands of documents already, new information that we tried to
00:40get from Director Ray that he wouldn't give us.
00:42We've already received.
00:44We'll be talking about some of that.
00:45So that is the fact, complete change from where we were with the previous Justice Department.
00:52The previous Justice Department, of course, that couldn't tell us who planted the pipe
00:57bombs, who leaked the Dobbs opinion, who put cocaine at the White House, couldn't tell
01:02us the answer to those questions.
01:03But oh, they had plenty of time to put together the memo to say, we're going to investigate
01:08moms and dads at a school board meeting, as the chairman pointed out.
01:11They put together a memorandum.
01:12We've now learned it wasn't just in the Richmond field office, but in other field offices where
01:16they were equating pro-life Catholics to extremists.
01:20We know they raided the president's home.
01:22We know they retaliated against whistleblowers.
01:25They even put together, the previous speaker talked about politics, politics, the FBI created
01:30a questionnaire where they asked their employees about other employees who were maybe giving
01:35information to us as whistleblowers.
01:37Did that person support Trump?
01:39That is as political as you can get.
01:42So the real thing here is it's literally night and day, the difference between the kind of
01:47information that we're able to receive, the help that we're getting, and the focus on
01:51going after traditional bad guys, not having half your agents and half your budgets focused
01:57on surveilling the American people.
01:59Let's go get the traditional bad guys.
02:01That's what Kash Patel is doing at the FBI, getting the FBI back to the mission they've
02:06had before, which I know some of our witnesses who serve there are going to talk about.
02:10So I thank the chairman for putting this together and I thank our witnesses for being here and
02:15I yield back.
