00:49We're standing up for family values. Republicans are anti family.

00:56So they lose an effort

01:05and members of Congress who have just given birth.

01:09They lose that rule

01:13and then they scramble out of town.

01:18I mean, what does that say? This is a party that continues to claim they

01:22have a mandate. You don't have a mandate

01:25to do a thing other than work with us to lower the high cost of living in the

01:31United States of America. And you've done nothing

01:35on that.

01:39you just get out of town.

01:42Wait, if you were so confident, if if you if you believe that there was some

01:48validation

01:49in that referendum in Wisconsin, then you should have brought the Save Act,

01:55which is a voter suppression bill that we strongly opposed to the floor

02:03Could have done it today. Could do it tomorrow.

02:07We dare you to bring the Save Act to the floor. We'll have that discussion.

02:16Peter wanted to discuss with you about the cutting funding, the NPR and PBS

02:21that the Republicans want. In the words of Marjorie Taylor Green, you're not

02:25gonna hate us on hate us on your own dime.

02:31The Republicans have launched an all out assault on the economy, on Social

02:36Security,

02:38on Medicare, on Medicaid, on veterans, on public education,

02:45as well as on the American way of life.

02:50They have no mandate to do any of it,

02:54which is why they are on the run

02:58governmentally and politically.

03:05the decision to

03:10attack Big Bird and the Cookie Monster. I mean, it's just a strange thing.

03:16Why are they constantly creating

03:20mythical targets as opposed to tackling the issues that matter to the American

03:25people? The reason why the Republican Party and Donald Trump are cratering in

03:30terms of public sentiment is because they are failing to do the things that

03:34matter to the American people, like drive down the high cost of living.

03:37Instead, they are taking the economy and driving us toward a recession. That's

03:42what the Trump tariffs are all about. So this effort to try to distract the

03:47American people is not working.

03:51It's not gonna work in Congress,

03:53and it's certainly not working with respect to the American people.
