00:00Which EU countries have the most job vacancies?
00:07In the last quarter of 2024, the highest job vacancy rates among EU countries were recorded
00:14in Belgium and the Netherlands, both at 4.1%, followed by Austria at 3.6%.
00:21By contrast, the lowest rates for job openings were in Bulgaria, Poland and Romania,
00:27all at 0.7%, with Spain following at 0.9%.
00:32When comparing this quarter to the same quarter of the previous year,
00:36the job vacancy rate increased in 4 EU countries,
00:40remained stable in 6 and decreased in 17 EU countries.
00:45The largest increases were observed in Denmark, Spain, Croatia and Malta,
00:50each rising by 0.1 percentage points.
00:53Meanwhile, the largest decreases were recorded in Germany, with less than 0.7 percentage points,
01:00Greece with 0.6 percentage points and France and Austria both with less than 0.5 percentage points.
01:08In the Eurozone area and across the EU, job vacancy rates rose in 2022,
01:14followed by a slight decline in 2023 and a more significant decrease in 2024.
01:20The highest job vacancy rates were recorded in administrative and support service activities,
01:26followed by construction information and communication.
