मक्कल मुदलवरिन मनिदनेय उत्सव के तहत विश्व महिला दिवस 2025 महोत्सव पर मंगलवार को राजा अन्नामलै मंड्रम में 35 महिलाओं को विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए प्रतिष्ठित ’सूर्य मगल’ पुरस्कार प्रदान किया गया, जिनमें प्रवासी राजस्थानी समुदाय की माला जैन (कातरेला) भी शामिल थीं। उनको वरिष्ठ अदाकार सत्यराज ने यह सम्मान दिया। इससे पहले सीएम एमके स्टालिन की पत्नी दुर्गा स्टालिन ने भी कुछ महिला हस्तियों को यह सम्मान दिया। इस अवसर पर चेन्नई की मेयर आर. प्रिया और मंत्री पी. के. शेखर बाबू भी मौजूद थे।
