00:00Again, this will be the final sort of bit of celebrations of that day and I think a
00:07lot of people will have still emotions bottled up, you know, a lot of people who maybe weren't
00:11at Wembley or weren't able to watch it with family or anything like that, hopefully they
00:14won't come together on that day, whether it's on the streets watching a bus go past or whether
00:18it's on the town where it should be really good. And to be fair to Sarah, they have put
00:23on really good events in the past with the Baltics or the light display, the one in London
00:28as well before the final, so I'm, you know, lots of trust in them putting on a really
00:31good event at the town where I get to see the bus with Bruno, Eddie Howe, whoever else
00:36holding the trophy is going to be really emotional. I'm sure it'll be memories that people can
00:39cherish forever.
00:41It's still going to be emotional once again, isn't it?
00:44Yeah, it really is. I think, as I said, like I saw they were all at Wembley, I saw them
00:48afterwards and it'll be good to sort of see, spend that day with them and, you know, we're
00:53going to get lots of coverage from, you know, me and the crowds wherever we end up, Don
00:57Scott will be there.
00:58I think as well, we should probably mention Brentford because that is still to come in
01:02the not so distant future as well. It's a week tomorrow at the time of recording on
01:07the Wednesday evening at St. James' Park. Back to Premier League action, it feels weird
01:12to say that, doesn't it, after all this, because, of course, it's been so long since a game
01:15now and it's still going to be a little while until another one and it just feels weird
01:18that, no, and you've also got to play again. It just feels like, oh, we're done now, we've
01:22won something. It's sort of, you know, we can just go off and celebrate, but of course
01:26they do want to still get Champions League football this season. You've just got to hope
01:29that that cup win spurs them on to, for the rest of the season in terms of their confidence.
01:36Certainly if they play like they do against Liverpool in that final, they'll beat anyone
01:40and they've got a good running coming up as well. Brentford are no mugs, that's for certain.
01:45They've won their last few away games as well, so it will be a tricky test, but you've just
01:49got to hope that you guys will carry that momentum that they've taken from the final
01:52into this game. And let's be honest, the weekend of the cup final results went for
01:57them as well in the Premier League, and so they're in a really good position to take
02:00advantage of that when they play these games that they have in hand, especially this game
02:04against Brentford as well.
02:05Yeah, absolutely. That win against West Ham, which we don't really talk about, was absolutely
02:09massive, you know, before the cup final, just to get that, keep them in that pack. And yeah,
02:13as I say, they're right in the mix. They've got the game ahead against Crystal Palace
02:17sort of middle of next month, but they've got 10 massive games coming up. They've got
02:21six at home, they'll fancy the chance to beat anyone at home, so you know, you hope
02:25with them games they can get wins in that. But they're four away games, you've got Leicester
02:28City away, okay, that's, you know, a relatively easy-ish game. But then they've got Aston
02:32Ville at Brighton, and Arsenal all the way from home to finish the season, so they're
02:36not easy matches. So it's going to be a real test for them, and a real test for their character,
02:40because they've done this, you know, everyone's been thinking about the cup final for the
02:43last sort of month and a half, and obviously their Premier League form slipped a little
02:46bit, but hopefully they can show that these are really, you know, they are a team to be
02:51reckoned with, and that if they can't get Champions League football, I mean, that'll
02:54be the most memorable campaign. Yeah, it's one of, so that if they can do that, and then
02:59hopefully what they can then spend in the summer window, you know, with the PSR headrooms,
03:02they've got a little bit more in there, then hopefully they can make it a memorable campaign.
03:06But yeah, it's, Brentford's a massive game, it's, they've already beaten them, obviously,
03:10at the G-Tech, they did beat them in the Carabao Cup at St. James's, but that was, it was a
03:13week in Brentford, so you'll expect they'll come to Newcastle with a point to prove, and
03:18you know, there will be, there will be dangerous, and they'll hope to exploit any weaknesses
03:22Newcastle might have, any sort of post-cup hangover, but you imagine Eddie how, knowing
03:25how professional he is, and the coaching staff, and the leaders of the group, they won't allow
03:29their standards to slip, and yeah, if they can get, I don't, you know, the stats probably
03:34say they probably need seven wins, I think, out of the next ten to be, it may be not guaranteed
03:39Champions League football, but we'll be within that top five spot, so yeah, it's a massive
03:43ten games, and if they can beat Brentford when they do play it, then they beat Leicester,
03:48you know, they've got Man U at home, that's a three-point, so they're going into sort
03:51of the middle of April with, you know, three wins on the back, so yeah, it's a huge game
03:54next Wednesday, and hopefully St. James's Park can't be up for it, they should be, obviously
03:57it's the first men's match since the final, so you hope that that atmosphere's up before
04:02kick-off already, and that they can really, you know, prove why they were deserving Carabao
04:07Cup winners, and why they should be deserved Champions League, you know, participants next year.
04:11Yeah, no, I fully agree, I think, as you say, it would be probably the best season post-ball,
04:17to be honest, because, I mean, you could argue 69, obviously winning that Carabao, sorry,
04:21the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, but, you know, they only finished sort of mid-table around
04:24that time, so, you know, the mid-90s, of course, finishing second, but they didn't win anything
04:29for that, so you could argue, if you finish in the top five, top four, top five, and win
04:33a trophy, it's monumental, it's historic, I mean, it's already historic, obviously,
04:39but it would just absolutely cap things off.
