00:00Sir, at the beginning of March, they were connected around 2-3 March.
00:05At that time, you said 2-3 things that happened in the month of March.
00:09First, you said that the recovery will start in the market.
00:13Second, you said that FII, i.e., Foreign Institutional Investors,
00:17whom we were seeing that net selling has been going on for a long time,
00:21has been seen to be changing here.
00:24Now, I have a question for you.
00:27We have seen that the buying of foreign institutional investors has increased.
00:31What is the reason behind this?
00:33Because this has happened for the first time since December 2004.
00:37Bhavna, according to me, FIIs have sold India to the bare bone levels.
00:45Bhavna, according to me, FIIs have sold India to the bare bone levels.
00:52In the first half of February and March, we were saying that they have sold so much
01:02that they are now sitting very underweight in India.
01:08Just like they were caught with an underweight age in China in September.
01:13China announced a big stimulus and then we saw a big rally in China.
01:19In the same way, I believe that by the time of the first week or 10 days of March,
01:26FIIs had come to a very under-owned status in India.
01:31In my opinion, it was just a matter of time that they had to become a buyer in the Indian market again.
01:39According to me, if you talk about global macros,
01:44on one hand, China's market has increased a lot in the last 3-4 months.
01:50Now, there has been a stagnation there for the last few weeks.
01:54FIIs are not buying much in China.
01:59There was a euphoria in Europe, but now their buying is a bit subdued in Europe as well.
02:05First of all, the market in Europe has increased a lot.
02:07Secondly, it is a very narrow market there because they were buying only defense and banking.
02:13They had already increased a lot of stocks.
02:16Now, their focus has shifted from China and Europe.
02:22As a group, they are not very bullish on the US even now.
02:32They see a good market in India, which had come down a lot.
02:38Valuations had also become reasonable.
02:40They were sitting underweight in India.
02:42Most importantly, the tariff wars that are taking place,
02:45because of our overall export-import of goods,
02:50it is a much smaller percentage of our total GDP.
02:54So, India is largely a domestic and a services play.
02:58So, India is not affected as much by the tariff wars as, let's say, Mexico, Europe, or even South Korea.
03:08So, India has come to a sweet spot and we have seen a big rally from a very oversold level.
03:15My sense is that in the next few days, we might be a bit sideways.
03:21Because we saw a rally in Nifty of 1800 points in just 3 weeks.
03:26So, it is obvious that between 23,400 and 23,800, we might be a bit sideways.
03:34But according to me, once the deadline for the 2nd of April tariff is completed,
03:41then we should see the next leg up in the rally.
03:46And I am pretty optimistic that we can see Nifty at 24,200 level in April.
03:55We will talk about both the levels of support and resistance.
03:59If we talk about FIIs, what trend are you seeing in April?
04:03Will their buying momentum continue?
04:06Or the trend that we have seen in the last 5 months, can it return once again?
04:13No, I don't see that trend returning so easily.
04:17Because it was a very big period, almost 5.5 months, when they kept on selling.
04:24It was a very exceptional period and the quantum of selling was also very substantial.
04:30So, according to me, that period will not return so easily.
04:34But yes, it is true that it is not like they will buy every day.
04:39Or they will buy 3000-4000 crores, 5000 crores every day.
04:45There is nothing like that.
04:47There would be a few days where they might sell too.
04:50There would be a few days where the buying will be very less.
04:54So, all that will continue.
04:56My sense is that between April and May, FIIs are on balance.
05:01They are going to be net buyers and not net sellers.
05:06So, I have a lot of hopes for April and May that FIIs will be net buyers.
05:11Even if they are not very big buyers, even if they are low-grade buyers,
05:16the conditions on the market are ripe for the rally to continue.
05:22And that is what I feel that over the next few days and weeks,
05:27we can see an even higher level in the market.
05:31You were saying that FIIs will be net buyers.
05:34That is, the trend of buying can continue, especially in the next two months.
