Thailand rescue dogs double as emotional support for victims' relatives

Thailand's search and rescue dogs are providing emotional support to grieving relatives of victims after a deadly earthquake flattened a Bangkok skyscraper. Beyond searching for victims, the dogs help people feel "less anxious and less sad, even for a short while," says Alongkot Chukaew, deputy director of the Rescue Dog Association K9 USAR Thailand, to Agence France-Presse.
