00:00Any man who has to take their trousers down, obviously,
00:02and, you know, I mean, it's embarrassing enough,
00:04but I was in a hurry, so I did all of that behind the screen,
00:06and he said, trousers up, it's fine, and I said, it's been lovely,
00:08and he said, no, you've got cancer, you've got a lump.
00:10And so, 20 minutes later, I'm on my back and I'm being scanned,
00:14and you lie there and you think,
00:16jeez, um, and I had to go home.
00:19Were you scared? Terrified.
00:21The next day, I got to the hospital and, um...
00:26..I was on my own,
00:27and I remember walking down this corridor,
00:30and then this huge bloke opens the door.
00:32He was the anaesthetist. He was about 11 foot tall.
00:35He just collapsed into his arms and started crying,
00:37and I remember thinking, I'm dead.
00:40They did the operation and, um, 95% or 96% toxic,
00:45and it would have spread, so I was very lucky.
00:47And I remember waking up to this amazing nurse
00:50who stayed with me all night and held my hand. I was terrified.
00:53I thought if she went in the door, the light went out, that was it.
00:56I thought I was dead that night. I thought I was dead.
