00:00The title of Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland has been revealed.
00:04During CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Monday, Holland appeared in a video clip to announce that the
00:08movie is titled Spider-Man Brand New Day and set to hit theaters July 31, 2026.
00:14In the video, Holland said,
00:16"'Spider-Man Brand New Day' is a fresh start."
00:19Filmmaker Dustin Daniel Cretton also appeared at CinemaCon on Monday. He took the stage and said,
00:24"'To say that it's an honor to be standing on this stage is a pretty big understatement.'"
00:28He went on to explain that he's a lifelong fan of the character
00:31and has been drawn to Peter Parker's humor and messy humanity.
00:35Cretton called the movie, quote,
00:36"'a ride that we haven't really seen before.'"
00:39The title is a reference to a 2008 storyline that takes place after a universe-altering
00:44event in which everyone forgot who Spider-Man was. It's a fitting title, given that 2021's
00:49Spider-Man No Way Home ended with the world forgetting who Spider-Man and Peter Parker were.
00:54Eric Summers and Chris McKenna wrote the new Spider-Man film after previously writing
00:58Spider-Man No Way Home, which surpassed $1.9 billion at the global box office.
