00:00So far and what we are now learning multiple pedestrians were stuck struck in what appeared to be a box truck by a box truck in downtown Boston.
00:09The Boston PD press office has put out additional details when asked if this appears to be accidental or intentional.
00:18The response was it's currently under investigation.
00:22They also are telling people to avoid the area.
00:25I want to bring in Boston for Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis by phone and I just want to work through some more details here.
00:31The call came in about twelve forty eight p.m.
00:35Officers responded to a radio call for a motor vehicle accident.
00:38Pedestrians struck at this intersection downtown Boston right outside Tufts Hospital in Chinatown.
00:46Upon arrival, officers observed a truck that appeared to have struck a nearby building as well as an unknown number of pedestrians.
00:53Boston Fire and EMS are on the scene assisting in rescue efforts.
00:57Some of our video did show some of the pedestrians being carried off in stretchers.
01:02You can see broken glass from the storefronts all over the ground there.
01:05They're describing this as a very active scene.
01:08They still don't have a total number of victims yet.
01:10At least two are critical and the homicide teams are on site and the fatal accident teams are also there responding.
