01:32This program is a blessing.
01:34It's a very blessing to know that they are helping us
01:37and helping our kids and helping us
01:40to be able to feed our children
01:42when we don't have jobs right now.
01:44Or we can't really get unemployment
01:47or we can't get stuff like that.
01:49It's a blessing to know that they would help us like this.
02:00Come here.
02:09Like, the big issue would be people who can't,
02:11like homeless people.
02:12I understand they were surviving before it,
02:14but they were digging out trash cans.
02:16They were barely finding food.
02:19That's the real issue is that, like,
02:21us as businesses, we survived before it.
02:23We could survive after it.
02:24I mean, it's going to be worse.
02:26We could survive after it.
02:27I mean, it's going to be worse, but we'll live.
02:30But the real issue is people,
02:32like homeless people, disabled people.
02:35That's the big problem.
03:16The service lines that you mentioned,
03:18Medicaid and SNAP, are majority of our clients
03:21that we serve, to be honest.
03:22They are our working families, working hard families.
03:26And having those services are great to have on hand
03:28because if they have a sick child,
03:30being able to go to the doctor is crucial.
03:32Or being able to, you know,
03:33lean on any assistance they can for, you know,
03:36any gap period that they may need.
03:38Or leaning on our services is crucial to their livelihood.
03:47Let me finish my sentence.
03:50So, thank you for making it their offering.
04:00Definitely.
04:01So there's a wide array of different people
04:03in our community.
04:04We are very ag populated.
04:06We're very oil populated.
04:08There's a lot of rich career growth here,
04:11but there is also like a lot of need, as you mentioned.
04:13Last year here at our food bank, where we're at,
04:15we served 22 million pounds of food for the whole year.
04:19So that's almost 2 million pounds a month.
04:22And we see about 200,000 interactions per month for clients.
04:26So they're coming into our lines.
04:28We're seeing people we've never seen before.
04:30And they're just saying,
04:31hey, I need to make ends meet until the next paycheck
04:33because things are more pricier.
05:23I like the food.
05:25Do you want a sip of coffee, Gary?
05:27They do look good, don't they?
05:28That's good, thank you.
05:34Hello, how are you doing?
05:35We're putting a story together about the farmer's market.
05:37We're putting what?
05:38We're putting a story together about the farmer's market.
05:41All you folks, all you lovers of TV and film,
05:44producing this one.
05:45If you put that in my airport.
05:48That gets to be $2.
05:49So the market match is associated with CalFresh or EBT.
06:01And we get funding through Ecology Center.
06:04So we have a grant through them.
06:06And I know that they get funding through the state
06:08and through the government.
06:10And what happens is if they spend $15 on their EBT card,
06:13we have a grant that matches.
06:15So they get up to $15 for free in a wooden coin.
06:19So it is beneficial not only for the customers,
06:21but also for the farmers.
06:23How much do I owe you?
06:47This community, it's gonna affect too much
06:51that even we could just stop doing business
06:56because the area that we are is just like that.
07:01So we really need it because when we started
07:04like 10 years ago, it was none, that program.
07:08And then it was very difficult to survive.
07:12So it's a percentage, it's small.
07:14We don't like the idea that it would be cut
07:18because obviously it takes away a little bit of income,
07:20but it really takes away the nutrition.
07:22And so the nutrition part of it
07:23is really what they need to focus on.
07:25And I believe that our current administration
07:28is focused on nutrition,
07:29or at least that's part of their agenda.
07:41One, two, three, four is your change.
07:44You're all set.
07:46Have a good day.
07:48Much obliged.
07:50You're quite welcome.
07:53Good day for sales.
08:00I don't think it would be a significant impact.
08:02In any program, there's always a little bit of waste
08:05or some people probably double dipping, so to speak.
08:11But I don't see the program actually going away.
08:15Although limited at best.
