00:00As the President has made it very clear, Mike Waltz continues to be an important part of
00:05his national security team.
00:07And this case has been closed here at the White House, as far as we are concerned.
00:11There have been steps made to ensure that something like that can obviously never happen
00:15again.
00:16And we're moving forward.
00:17And the President and Mike Waltz and his entire national security team have been working together
00:21very well.
00:22If you look at how much safer the United States of America is because of the leadership of
00:27this team.
00:28The goal of Wednesday are country-based tariffs, but certainly sector, sectoral tariffs.
00:40The President has said he's committed to implementing them and I'll leave it to him on when he
00:45makes that decision and that announcement.
00:51I don't have a readout for you on that call, but as always, we'll provide a readout.
00:55Usually the President likes to let you guys know first, especially for big calls like
00:59that.
01:00Steve.
01:01Steve.
01:02Any exemptions for farmers being considered for those tariffs?
01:05No exemptions at this time.
01:06Caroline.
01:07Caroline.
01:08The validation guide that DHS is using to determine who is an enemy alien, a Trande
01:14Aragua member, and deportable under the Enemy Aliens Act, it has criteria here that require
01:21eight points to be classified as a TDA member.
01:26You can get classified by simply having certain symbols in your tattoos and wearing certain
01:33streetwear brands.
01:34That alone is enough to get someone classified as TDA and sent to El Salvador.
01:41That's not true, actually, Andrew.
01:43According to this document, it is.
01:45No, according to the Department of Homeland Security and the agents, have you talked to
01:49the agents who have been putting their lives on the line to detain these foreign terrorists
01:54who have been terrorizing our communities?
01:57TDA is a vicious gang that has taken the lives of American women and our agents on the front
02:04lines take up deporting these people with the utmost seriousness and there is a litany
02:09of criteria that they use to ensure that these individuals qualify as foreign terrorists
02:15and to ensure that they qualify for deportation and the president made it incredibly clear
02:21to the American public that there would be a mass deportation campaign of not just foreign
02:26terrorists but also illegal criminal aliens who have been wreaking havoc on American communities
02:30and shame on you and shame on the mainstream media for trying to cover for these individuals.
02:36This is a vicious gang, Andrew.
02:38This is a vicious gang that has taken the lives of American women.
02:45And you said yourself there are eight criteria on that document and you are questioning the
02:51credibility of these agents who are putting their life on the line to protect your life
02:55and the life of everybody in this group and everybody across the country and their credibility
03:00should be questioned.
03:01They finally have a president who is allowing them to do their jobs and God bless them for
03:04doing it.
03:05What method would the president use to potentially run for a third term, as he said, there are
03:09methods there?
03:10Look, you guys continue to ask the president this question about a third term and then
03:14he answers honestly and candidly with a smile and then everybody here melts down about his
03:19answer.
03:20The president talked about this last night on the plane.
03:23He said it's not really something we're thinking about.
03:25He has four years.
03:26There's a lot of work to do.
03:27We've done a lot in these nearly first 100 days and the American people love what this
03:32president is doing, particularly when it comes to efforts to secure the border.
03:36How confident is President Trump that he can get a peace deal done in Ukraine?
03:40How confident is President Trump that he can get a peace deal done in Ukraine?
03:43Well, look, the president is working incredibly hard to get a peace deal done between Russia
03:48and Ukraine, and he has expressed his displeasure with comments that have been made by leaders
03:53of both sides of this conflict.
03:55He has expressed what he believes needs to take place in order to see this conflict come
03:59to an end.
04:00He continues to work very hard on it, and our teams continue to be engaged.
04:02Caroline, can countries that don't have tariffs on the U.S. but may have other forms of non-tariff
04:08trade barriers, I'm thinking in my case of Australia, can they expect to be hit in Wednesday's
04:13announcement, or can they expect to be left out and dealt with another time?
04:17Again, I'll let the president make the announcement on Wednesday, but I think any country that
04:22has treated the American people unfairly should expect to receive a tariff in return on Wednesday.
04:27Caroline, you talk about the European Union.
04:29Is the president expected to impose those tariffs in blocks, or will he distinguish
04:34countries within those trading blocks?
04:35Again, I will let the president get into the specifics of the announcement.
04:39It's his announcement to make.
04:40It's going to be very exciting.
04:41We'll see you guys in the Rose Garden.
04:42And you will also hear directly from the president, if you have any lingering questions, 5.30
04:48this afternoon or evening, rather, although it's really afternoon for us.
04:52That's about midday for this president because he works all night.
04:55But he'll be signing an executive order.
04:56It will be the in-house pool in the Oval Office, and we'll see you all there.
05:00Thanks, guys.
05:02Thank you, Caroline.
