01:58Elder experienced group of final four teams, which means we get really good basketball

02:30We're never really all that close all the way through Auburn really had them, you know out and it with an extended margin

04:03It really was including their opening round game where they wanted handily, but Bruce Pearl was not happy with this team's effort
04:09We've had we've seen them struggle in some first halves
04:11We've seen them sort of, you know play bad stretches that Michigan State game. They started fast stayed fast and won the thing easily
04:19Yeah, it's it's a very impressive team in a tough conference here
04:23And it almost looked like there might have been a chance that like broom wasn't coming back to that game and maybe his season was
04:28Over which would have been devastating for Auburn
04:30but coming back in here another SEC tilt gonna take place this weekend and we're gonna enjoy that and watch that one play out in
04:35The final four other teams advancing it to the final four
04:38No surprises again, because they're all one seeds the Duke Blue Devils with an 85 to 65 victory on Saturday night from Newark
04:45New Jersey game stays under the total Duke wins by 20 points
04:48You just see the depth when Alabama coming in as hot as a pistol to that game only scoring 65 there

05:39In college basketball overall, obviously having the best player in the sport helps that doesn't hurt anything
05:44So now they just got to finish it off
05:47No, they do. It's it's really impressive and the fact that you know, Cooper flag goes down the ACC tournament
05:52Hey, he's gonna even be back for the tournament itself. They win the ACC tournament without him
05:56They come into the tournament and then also they detonate a couple teams right in a row
05:59He's completely healthy that team looks like they're on a mission
06:02But they're gonna get a pretty good test here by the other team from the elite eight into the final four
06:06That's the Houston Cougars with a 69 50 bashing of the Tennessee Volunteers
06:11two of the best defensive teams in the country playing a lot of defense which included
06:1515 points out of Tennessee in the first half of that game with the Houston Cougars

07:52Florida it still sits today at two and a half every other outlet. I'm looking at two and a half as well the total

08:03160 and a half when you saw these odds hit the market. What was your initial thoughts your mark on this game?
08:09The number was right according to my numbers, you know, maybe minus two but two two and a half feels fair
08:16Where the real question is is as this week goes along
08:21Well the public pushed this to Florida minus three at which point in time
08:25I think you'll see a lot of sharp money come back in on Auburn. It feels like Auburn is the sharp side here
08:31From what I've been talking to professional betters and what they have forecasted. I think they're waiting no much to see as well
08:39Will the public do enough to move this thing to three?
08:41I don't know that it would if it if it gets
08:44Down to two first if the Sharps hit it first and get it down to two that it ever goes back up to two and a
08:50Half or three
08:51But I could conceivably see by the time we get closer to Friday
08:54Enough money coming in on Florida to push this thing to three at which point in time the buyback will come in

09:38I really like Florida at the minus two and a half point price now, even though coming in healthier not healthy
09:42I thought Florida would be able to beat Auburn had them both in the final four and Florida advancing to play Duke
09:47So it won't be a surprise to me. But what are you thinking about that total one sixty and a half live San Antonio, Texas?
09:54Dome environment any thoughts on yeah, the tempo should be there, but will the shooting be there in kind?

10:09the level of shooting that they have

10:39It's hard to keep up with that level of shooting
10:41It just is and I don't know that the three-point shootings or Auburn feels like it can match up
10:48With this with the three-point shooting of of Florida. I mean numbers say that it can but
10:54What I've seen in this tournament just doesn't feel like it

11:03Auburn both be represented by their fan bases and we'll see which one makes the most noise

11:10That's houston in the state of texas playing in san antonio taking on the duke blue devils
11:15Who notoriously also have a very passionate fan base that will show up this line opened up as a favorite towards duke at minus?
11:21Four and a half still sit the fans sports book today at four and a half some of the outlets have moved to five
11:25and five and a half the total this game opened up at
11:28136 and a half at fan duel still sits at 136 and a half and that is the number that's showing up at most
11:33Outlets as well houston and duke initial thought when those lines came down on both the side and the total for you mark
11:40Uh, this number will probably hit six before they tip this thing off. I don't have a doubt about that
11:44That said there's a very specific game script here for houston to win this thing
11:49They have to win the first half and they have to have a lead
11:52If duke goes into halftime with a four or five point lead
11:56All they got to do is make two buckets
11:58And make this a seven or eight point game and it's going to feel like 20 is what the lead is going to feel like
12:03Houston has to slow down duke as much as they can
12:07They can't they're not going to be able to play up tempo
12:10So duke getting into the mid 70s here is a recipe for disaster
12:15Because they cannot keep up offensively with what duke can do and so their whole goal is to limit the possessions
12:21Slow this game down to grind it and force duke to make very tough shots for 40 minutes
12:28Yeah, two great basketball games four great basketball teams all number one scenes winding up in san antonio

14:49Depending on what the line is and what it looks like might be able to make some money. So
14:52Um, I I think in general those odds feel about right
14:56um with auburn being the long shot so to speak between the four teams, but
15:01You know, uh, some of this too is dictated by the path, right?
15:05um having to be having to beat
15:08duke in the first round
15:10Would change the odds for houston, right? If houston was on the other side of the bracket
15:14They might be the second favorite behind duke because they don't have to play them
15:18That's the hard florida only has to beat duke in the final and after winning one who knows what the situation looks like
15:23So that's that that all plays into it
15:26Yeah, two spreads that you know both under currently now at most outlets under five points here one game
15:31We're looking for an expanded offense the other one obviously when houston comes to the table
15:34They bring a lot of defense and a lot of fun
15:36So I can't wait for the final four to take place

16:36I voted for walter clayton, but I would I would actually put something down on clayton and broom
16:41Because one of those two is going to play in the final, right?

16:52hope for the best and maybe it's juneye broom who gets through at longer odds, but
16:56If either florida or auburn happens to upset duke it's because those two guys were the biggest linchpin

17:05I'll tell you it's it's interesting too because you never want to like short yourself because most people that are betting the tournament
17:10Obviously I bet a favorite before the tournament if it's duke if it's houston or you know, florida or whoever it might be
17:16It's like okay
17:16You're gonna ride that one out and then you might want to put a little bit extra here on who the mop might be
17:21But I got a feeling that there's people out there like you know
17:23What I only bet cooper flag to be the mop and if duke wins it and another player wins that award
17:29That's going to be tough pill to swallow because I still do think that it is the final four
17:33Mop, but you take a look at the tournament itself. We're like, hey this guy played really well
17:37Like it's supposed to be a clean slate from the final four into the championship game
17:43So you take a look again flag clayton broom and cryer as the favorites here
17:46You wipe the slate clean like we've already seen a game or two here where tyree's proctor went absolutely ballistic from three-point range
17:53He's 50 to one at this point like it would would it surprise you mark if like proctor has six triples
17:59In game number one to get them in their final and he might be the favorite at that point

18:37They know what he means to everything that they do. They're here because of him. They don't survive to this point without him
18:43Uh for an entire ncaa tournament, they might have been able to
18:47You know get their way through the acc tournament, but they're not getting
18:50To uh to the final four without cooper flag and everybody knows that so
18:55I don't see a world where duke wins this and anybody but cooper flag is the most is most outstanding player

19:03Why is it why can't we just have the mop of the tournament?
19:06Like nobody's going to give it to a guy that got knocked out in the round of 32

19:09It's coming from the teams in the final four and 95
19:13percent will come from a team that makes it into the final and the rest of that will come from probably the team that's
19:18Going to win the tournament, but I always get this because the human element always creeps into it like at least in the nfl
19:23It's like the super bowl mvp who played best in that game
19:27Now granted using the best player on the best team if it's close they lean towards the quarterback
19:31I understand that but the clarity will be so much easier like yes flag had
19:35250 point games before the final four and then had 14 points in 16
19:40But they still won it like he's still the best player on the best team
19:43But not just the best player maybe in the final two games
19:46I just wish it was the whole tournament and it would take all the subjectiveness out of the equation for me mark

19:55I think when you just talk about the subjectiveness coming out of it
19:59It makes sense, but still this is very much a
20:03Award that will always go obviously to the guy on the team that wins it and it'll always go to
20:08The player who had the best overall tournament not just the best final four. I mean

20:14There's a lot of other duke players on this team that are really good
20:16And if you look at some of the stat boxes and stat lines, you know and dive into it
20:21You'll see that there are other players there that would be somewhat deserving
20:25They just don't get the attention that cooper flag does and it's not going to change, you know that they are here for
20:32and
20:33him winning it and getting the number one overall pick in the nba and
20:37All that stuff we've we've already written the history and how this thing ends. So
20:40I don't think there's anything stopping that from happening
20:43Yeah, like down the line too mark
20:45You take a look at this mop number like for me
20:47I I think you have an opening with auburn if they can win it like if tonight broom isn't 100
20:51I don't know if auburn can actually win the championship
20:53Which means maybe it doesn't that be the focal point in the final four where tons of rebounds tons of points tons of minutes here
20:59Pettiford's is 21 to 20 to one price denver jones at an 85 to one price chad baker
21:05Mazzara at 110 to one price at this point. So when I line it up, maybe there's opportunities on teams outside of duke
21:12But then being said why outsmart yourself you think duke's gonna win?
21:15It's probably their best player's gonna win the mop and they run away with this thing here
21:19But again, it's all for one seats here in a one game playoff for those teams. It's so much fun to watch
