U.S. President Donald Trump responded to the news of Marine Le Pen's conviction, drawing a comparison to the political climate in the United States. Le Pen, the French far-right leader, has been banned from running for office for five years. Trump remarked, "That's a big deal... sounds very much like this country," suggesting parallels between the legal challenges faced by political figures in both nations. His comments have sparked widespread reactions online.

00:00You all set?
00:03So it's an honor to have you back.
00:06A friend of mine, Kid Rock, sometimes referred to as Bob.
00:10I know him as Bob, but he's been a good friend for a long time, many years.
00:15And he's been after something that is for the good of a lot of people, including in
00:21particular the public, and having to do with ticket sales and scalping and all of the gouging
00:27that you have been reading about.
00:29It's gotten worse and worse with time.
00:32And I didn't know too much about it, but I checked it out, and it is a big problem.
00:35And I thought, I think you've been trying to get this done for 20 years or something.
00:39He said Trump got it done in two weeks.
00:42But we came up with a very serious EO, and I'm going to sign it now.
00:49And maybe I'll ask you, Will, to explain a little bit about it, please.
00:52Of course, sir.
00:53So this is an executive order, as you said, that deals with the ticket reselling business.
00:59And for fans of live entertainment and for entertainers as well, the ticket reselling
01:03industry has become a huge issue.
01:05These people use bots and computer algorithms to buy up huge blocks of tickets and then
01:11jack up the price so that fans of live entertainers like Mr. Richie, I almost called him Mr. Rock,
01:18don't have access to concerts the way that they should.
01:21And when they do, it's at exorbitantly high prices.
01:24So what this executive order does, it charges the FTC and the Department of Justice with
01:29rigorously enforcing laws on the books in collaboration with state attorneys general
01:35that have power over consumer protection and other people who have the power to really
01:40crack down on this issue so that entertainers and fans won't be subject to these abusive
01:46and oftentimes illegal practices.
01:47Good.
01:48Thank you very much.
01:49Bob, do you want to say something?
01:52Yeah.
01:54It doesn't matter your politics.
01:55First of all, thank you, Mr. President, because this has happened at lightning speed.
02:00I know you put, I want to make sure Alina Haba, Alina Haba gets her credit too, because
02:04I know she worked very hard on this, but thank you for making this happen so quick.
02:07Anyone who's bought a concert ticket in the last decade, maybe 20 years, no matter what
02:10your politics are, knows that it's a conundrum.
02:13You buy a ticket for a hundred bucks, by the time you check out, it's 170.
02:16You don't know what you're getting charged for.
02:17But more importantly, these bots, you know, they come in to get all the good tickets to
02:22your favorite shows you want to go to, and then they're relisted immediately for sometimes
02:26a four or 500% markup.
02:29And the artists don't see any of that money.
02:31And you know, ultimately, I think this is a great first step.
02:35I would love down the road if there'd be some legislation that we could actually put a cap
02:38on the resale of tickets.
02:40And I'm a capitalist and a deregulation guy, but they've tried this in some places in Europe,
02:44and it seems to be the only thing that's us as artists be able to get the tickets into
02:49the hands of the fans at the prices we set.
02:51I'll be the first one to say, and I know the president doesn't like when I say this, but
02:55I'm a little overpaid right now.
02:57It's kind of ridiculous.
02:58I would rather be, you know, a hero to the working class people and have them be able
03:02to come attend my shows and give them a fair ticket price.
03:04I can't control that right now.
03:06So hopefully this is a step to really be able to make that happen.
03:09And a lot of artists and a lot of fans who love, love concerts and music are going to
03:13be very appreciative.
03:14And I think Bob is more interested in the fans and the people that are happy to pay
03:20crazy prices than he is the artist, maybe the artist a little bit, but the fans a lot.
03:25I've spoken to him over the years about it, and it's been it bothers him.
03:30It bothers a lot of other artists, the artists, and they go out with a hundred dollar ticket
03:35and it sells for two thousand dollars the following night.
03:39And they seem to be able to sweep up the best locations, too, which is pretty amazing.
03:43So they've only enforced that box act one time, I believe, a couple of years ago in
03:47New York City.
03:48I think we got a couple million dollar fine.
03:49And that's the only time they've enforced that act.
03:52And who is the primary culprit?
03:53Who sells these tickets?
03:55It's the scalpers.
03:57It's that these bots go in and they're automated.
03:59So you're.
04:00Is there a company involved?
04:02You might know.
04:03No.
04:04No.
04:05Well, there's reselling markets.
04:06Oh, yeah.
04:07I know, Peter.
04:08But that's all right.
04:10Don't get them involved.
04:11Maybe.
04:12Maybe they're more innocent than we think.
04:14Well, if you think of it like if if Ticketmaster sells a ticket, if you buy a ticket and go
04:19to a show, you're in a lot of ways their worst customer.
04:22They make another 17 whatever percentage every time that ticket resells.
04:26So they don't want to enforce the box act necessarily because they're making more money
04:29off it.
04:30The artists don't see any of that money.
04:31But that's not what I'm advocating for, is for me to make more money.
04:34I want the fans to have fair ticket prices, be able to go and enjoy more shows.
04:38I know people that can only they decide on a family vacation or going to their favorite
04:41concert once a year.
04:43You know, my parents used to go see multiple shows when you could afford them back in their
04:46day.
04:47And I'd like to take my ticket prices lower.
04:48But if I set my ticket prices low, these bots immediately eat them up and they resell for
04:53hundreds of dollars more.
04:54And I'm just making these bad actors rich.
04:56Well, I think this is a big step to getting it stopped.
05:00Do you have something?
05:01Right.
05:02Yeah, I do.
05:03Actually, I actually feel that the consumer is going to take the money that they say and
05:09actually buy merch, which you guys have a big percentage of, or do concessions, which
05:13you guys split with the venue on that as well.
05:16So I think the money don't share concessions a lot.
05:18No, no, those are.
05:20We try to.
05:21But they don't want us.
05:22They don't want to share it in the beer prices and parking or any of that stuff.
05:25But the bottom line is, there's money for everyone to be made.
05:29There's plenty of money to go around.
05:30You know, no one's going to really lose here.
05:32You know, Ticketmaster, if we can get a cap, they're going to lose some money.
05:35But I've already talked to CEO Michael and he's given me his word.
05:37He's on board for it.
05:38I was talking to Jacobi with Papa Roach earlier.
05:40And by the way, he's a big fan of what you're doing, President Trump, digging into this
05:45whole scalping in the box.
05:48A lot of musicians, you can say that they're there with Kid Rock, sir.
05:52I think so.
05:53A lot of people are.
05:54President Trump, would you ever wear a jacket like that?
05:57I don't know.
05:58I was thinking about doing it for tomorrow.
06:01We have a big event coming up and I was thinking about doing it.
06:05So you recently bought a Tesla for White House staff to use.
06:09But now there's all these domestic terrorists targeting Teslas.
06:13Are the staff scared to drive it?
06:16I don't think so.
06:17I haven't heard.
06:18They were complaining.
06:19I did buy one and I let the staff use it.
06:22We have it parked conveniently.
06:23And one day we give it to Margo.
06:26One day we give it to Chamberlain, give it to Natalie.
06:28We give it to everybody around.
06:30Give it to Dan Scavino.
06:31But he's got so much money, it doesn't matter.
06:35But they love the car and it's a great car and it's made here and it's made in the country.
06:40It's got a tremendous plant now in Texas and he had one and he has one in California.
06:44He does a lot of his work here and he's been really unfairly treated, in my opinion.
06:50I drive a little.
06:51And there's this other story, I know it's hypothetical right now, but if you were allowed
06:57for some reason to run for a third term, is there a thought that the Democrats could try
07:02to run Barack Obama against you?
07:04I'd love that.
07:05For his third term.
07:06Oh, I'd love that.
07:07That would be a good one.
07:08I'd like that.
07:09I know people are asking me to run and there's a whole story about running for a third term.
07:14I don't know.
07:15I never looked into it.
07:17They do say there's a way you can do it, but I don't know about that, but I have not looked
07:21into it.
07:22I want to do a fantastic job.
07:23We have four years, just about, almost close to four years.
07:27Time is flying, but it's still close to four years and we're getting a lot of credit for
07:33having done a great job in the first almost 100 days.
07:37And we have some big things we're going to be announcing over the next two days, and
07:39you know very well, Peter, and I think it's going to be something that's going to bring
07:43a lot of wealth back to our country, tremendous wealth back to our country, actually.
07:47And other countries are understanding it because they've been ripping us for 50 years longer,
07:54but they've been ripping us off for years, right from the beginning.
07:57And I think this is going to be an amazing, you know, I call it a lot of different names,
08:04but it's really, in a sense, it's a rebirth of a country because what, how we could have
08:08afforded to do what we did.
08:10We helped everybody and they don't help us.
08:14I really, the term I like best probably is the liberation of America, it's the liberation
08:19of this country because it's incredible, look, we have 36 trillion in debt for a reason,
08:25and that accumulates over a long period of time.
08:28So I think what you're going to be seeing over the next couple of days will be very
08:32inspiring to a lot of people.
08:34You know, they had a lot of auto plants being built in a certain country.
08:39I don't want to mention the country because we get along great with the country, but those
08:42plants aren't being built there anymore.
08:44They gave them up today and yesterday, day before, and they're building them all now
08:49in the United States.
08:50And we have many examples, not only auto plants, chip companies from Taiwan are coming
08:56in.
08:57The biggest, Mr. Wei.
08:58He's big.
08:59I said, you are a smart guy, aren't you?
09:01I've been reading about him over the years, but he controls a large portion of the chip
09:06business, as you know.
09:07You don't get smarter.
09:08They're going to be investing two or three hundred billion dollars.
09:11Apple's investing five hundred billion dollars.
09:14You know, they always built their places in China, now he's building here.
09:18I think because of the, you speak to Tim Cook, because of the election, but maybe more
09:23importantly because of the tariffs, he's got really an obligation to do it.
09:28But we have many, many companies that you haven't even heard of.
09:30But I think we'll be at five trillion dollars very soon.
09:35And if you think about this, we've never been anywhere near that.
09:39I don't know if we've ever been at a trillion dollars.
09:41What do you mean by that?
09:42Five hundred.
09:43Five hundred.
09:44What do I mean by a trillion?
09:45Five trillion.
09:46Five trillion.
09:47What are you referring to, sir?
09:48I think that we're going to be at five trillion dollars of investment.
09:52I think you're going to have investments very shortly.
09:55We're already three and a half and we have commitments, verbal commitments for a lot
10:00more.
10:01And numbers like that have never been done in this country.
10:04And it's going to get harder.
10:05This is in two months.
10:07It's really less than two months because since we've really gone out with it and we have
10:11other interesting things happening.
10:13But to me, the whole tariff situation and essentially they've done that to us for many
10:18years.
10:19So if we're anywhere near five trillion in two months, this could be numbers like the
10:24country has never seen.
10:25And every time you hear a dollar spent, that's another job because the jobs are coming with
10:30it.
10:31So auto plants, chip plants, pharmaceuticals, lumber coming in.
10:37We have things happening in this country.
10:39I don't think I'm not sure that they've ever seen the steel.
10:42You know, we have tariffs on steel.
10:44They've been here for a while.
10:47Steel and aluminum.
10:50Nobody's ever seen anything like we're witnessing now.
10:53Nobody's ever seen.
10:54I think you most of you agree with that.
10:55I mean, it's nothing much you can't agree with.
10:59We have things happening in terms of jobs and investment, the likes of which I don't
11:04think we've ever seen.
11:05If you look at, let's say, four to five trillion dollars in a period of a month and a half,
11:12that's even more than you do with your concerts, which are always sold out, right?
11:17Nobody's ever seen numbers.
11:18And think of it where Apple's at 500 billion, as I said, but they always used to spend their
11:24money in China.
11:25Now they're spending it here.
11:27That means you're going to build.
11:28Now they don't have any cash.
11:29Remember, there are no tariffs if you do your product here, if you build whatever it is
11:34in the USA.
11:36One of the things we're also trying to get is if you build, if you buy a car that was
11:41built in the USA, you get a deduction on interest.
11:45So if you go out, borrow money to buy a car, if it's built in the USA, never been done
11:50before.
11:51It's a big deduction for people that really aren't used to deductions, frankly, because
11:57people that buy cars like that are not big into the world of deductions.
12:01And now they're going to learn about deductions.
12:03So I think it's going to be great.
12:04Yeah.
12:06Are you going to move in with a universal tariff or different individual tariff rates
12:10on a whole variety of different?
12:11Well, you're going to see in two days, which is maybe tomorrow night or probably Wednesday.
12:17You're going to see.
12:18And they're reciprocal.
12:20So whatever they charge us, we charge them.
12:23But we're being nicer than they were.
12:25We have a lot of countries, friend and foe.
12:27I always say friend and foe, but the friend in many cases is worse than the foe.
12:32They took advantage of us.
12:33And we are going to be very nice by comparison to what they were.
12:38The numbers will be lower than what they've been charging us.
12:42And in some cases, maybe substantially lower, but we sort of have a world obligation, perhaps.
12:48But we're going to be very nice.
12:49Relatively speaking, we're going to be very kind.
12:52Mr. President, you met with the chairman.
12:54Somebody said that about me the other day.
12:56He said, who doesn't know me very well.
12:59They said, you're such a kind person.
13:02And I said, say that again.
13:04They said, you're a kind person.
13:06I said, I've never heard that before.
13:08It was a weird statement.
13:09I was kind.
13:10I've heard of words that I don't know, I better not tell you.
13:13You know, I've heard of, I've been called a lot of things, but it's sort of a different
13:17kind of a word.
13:18It's like an old fashioned word.
13:19Is that it?
13:20Mr. President, you met with the chairman of Stellantis today.
13:23Did he ask you for a pause on the auto tariffs?
13:26No.
13:27What was that meeting about?
13:29Just about some of the problems they have with the environmental, which we're going
13:32to clean up.
13:33Have any of you automated?
13:34We're going to probably go back to 1927.
13:37If you, if you look, we're going to go back probably to a 2020 standard.
13:42So we'll have 2020 standard.
13:44And that's, you know, just a few years ago.
13:46Oh, they're putting them, they're making it so difficult.
13:49All over the world.
13:50They make it, it doesn't mean a damn bit of difference even for the environment.
13:53It doesn't matter.
13:55They make it impossible for people to build cars.
13:57So we're going to be doing much different.
13:592020 is a strong standard, but they've taken it to a level now that makes it very difficult
14:05to build a car.
14:06So we're going to be, we're going to be bringing it back to a standard that is a very good
14:14environmental standard, but it makes it possible to build a car.
14:17Have you heard any concerns from the automakers though about the tariffs on parts that will
14:21go into effect over the coming weeks about what that's going to mean for the price of
14:24a car?
14:25Well, I gave them a big break for a month.
14:26I didn't charge them anything, you know, for a big month for that first month.
14:29And they brought a lot of material into this country because they could bring it in without
14:34tariff.
14:35If you look at Canada and Mexico, they were driving hundreds of thousands of cars into
14:40the market because they avoid the tariffs by doing it before the tariffs go on, which
14:44would be Wednesday.
14:46And I looked at the, I saw some of your shows where cars are lined up for miles and miles.
14:53Some of them didn't have fenders on them.
14:55Some of them didn't have the roof on yet.
14:57They're driving it here brand new.
14:59They're driving it in because they want to avoid the tariffs.
15:01I let them have that.
15:02They sort of took advantage of it because you know, that wasn't part of the deal, but
15:06that's okay.
15:07Are there any great American car companies and car companies?
15:12And so I gave them a little break on that.
15:14Yeah.
15:15Are there any countries that you're not targeting on Wednesday?
15:18Well it depends.
15:19You know, I said it's reciprocal.
15:20Not everybody has made a fortune, but almost everybody has, but not everybody.
15:26And the ones that haven't, we're going to be very nice to them because that word reciprocal
15:33is very important.
15:35What they do to us, we do to them.
15:37Okay.
15:38Can I just ask you briefly on President Putin, you said over the weekend or indicated over
15:42the weekend, some frustration with him.
15:44How serious are you about imposing oil sanctions on Russia?
15:47I want to see him make a deal so that we stop Russian soldiers and Ukrainian soldiers
15:53and other people from being killed.
15:56But mostly it's Russian and Ukrainian soldiers.
15:59They're losing at least 2,500 human beings, beautiful human beings a week.
16:06And I wanted to stop.
16:07And some people would say, why do you worry about Russian soldiers or Ukrainian soldiers?
16:12I worry because it's like, they're just like you people.
16:14They're like us.
16:15They're like all of us.
16:17And I seem to have an ability to do those things.
16:20And if I can do that, I think it's a very worthwhile thing to do.
16:26And I think we will know.
16:27I want to make sure that he follows through.
16:30And I think he will.
16:31I don't want to go secondary tariffs on his oil, but I think, you know, it's something
16:35I would do if I thought he wasn't doing the job.
16:37I did it with Venezuela, secondary tariffs.
16:40And you know what happened?
16:41Every boat left the harbor.
16:42Did you see that?
16:43It was a beautiful thing to see.
16:45The whole harbor emptied out.
16:48My words weren't even finished.
16:49I have these massive, these massive ships.
16:53They're actually taking the hoses and dumping them into there.
16:55They couldn't get out of there fast enough because they know I don't play games.
17:00So I think he's going to live up to what he told me.
17:02And I think he's going to fulfill his part of the deal.
17:08Now then you have Zelensky and hopefully he's going to live up.
17:11I see he's trying to renegotiate the rare earth.
17:14You know, we did something because, as you know, the Europeans get paid back the money
17:18that they gave.
17:19And we don't because Biden is an incompetent president and he should have asked for rare
17:24earth or he should have asked for the loans to be guaranteed in some form.
17:28That's what Europe did.
17:29Europe is in for a hundred, probably a hundred billion dollars.
17:34And we're in for 350 billion.
17:36So we're in for more than three times.
17:38And now you could make it a little bit less than that, but it doesn't matter whatever
17:41the number.
17:42We're in for substantially more than Europe.
17:43We could be in for 350 billion.
17:46They have no idea because Biden wasn't a good bookkeeper except for himself.
17:51And what happens is we made a deal for rare earth.
17:55It was all done.
17:56And I heard through you, I haven't spoken to them yet, but through you, I heard that
18:00they're now saying, well, I'll only do that deal if we get into NATO or something to that
18:05effect.
18:06Well, that was never number one discussed.
18:09Number two, I think it's going to be very long before Putin.
18:11They said, you're not going into NATO.
18:14And it could be.
18:15That's probably the reason the war started, actually, hours away from a very special election.
18:21Wisconsin, Florida, I want to share your thoughts on Republican voters to not sleep on this.
18:26These are two very important races.
18:29It's a big race, Supreme Court race in Wisconsin.
18:33It's taking place essentially as we as, you know, as early voting.
18:39So we'll see what happens.
18:40It's a big race.
18:41I love Wisconsin.
18:42We won Wisconsin.
18:44Republicans typically don't do very well in Wisconsin, but I did actually won it twice.
18:49I actually probably won it three times to be exact.
18:52We played their side.
18:53Not probably.
18:54I won it three times.
18:55We had a rigged election the second time, but that's, you know, one of those things
18:59we had to make this one too big to rig as each.
19:01Would you agree with that, Brian?
19:02Too big to rig?
19:03Yes, sir.
19:05So anyway, but yeah, there's a big race that I hope you get out and vote for the Republic.
19:09The woman is a radical left lunatic and let's see who wins.
19:14But the woman will be very bad.
19:17And you know, Wisconsin's a big state politically, and the Supreme Court has a lot to do with
19:22elections in Wisconsin.
19:24So if whoever it is that's running, including, you know, even Senate races, et cetera, but
19:30whoever it is in four years that runs, having Wisconsin is a very big, you know, we want
19:35it early and big, but winning Wisconsin's a big deal.
19:39So therefore, the Supreme Court choice is that's is the one you're talking about right
19:44now.
19:45It's a big race.
19:46It's going to be announced fairly shortly.
19:50President Trump on TikTok.
19:52Big week of deadlines.
19:53You got Liberation Day and the TikTok deadline, which I can extend if I want, but we have
19:59a lot of enthusiasm for TikTok for buying it.
20:02I think TikTok is good.
20:03I used it very.
20:04I was a I was a great TikTok guy and we won by 36 points.
20:10The youth, you know, we won the youth, which Republicans don't do.
20:14Maybe it's because Kid Rock likes Trump.
20:16I don't know.
20:17But we won.
20:18We won the youth by 36 points.
20:21And I attribute some of that to TikTok.
20:24Is the TikTok deal negotiations now tied to a bigger tariff deal with China?
20:29No.
20:30But, you know, it could be.
20:31I mean, you know, I've used tariffs for lots of different reasons.
20:35But I could see, you know, one point in tariffs with China, a big country would be probably
20:40worth more than all of TikTok, as valuable as TikTok is.
20:44It's big stuff.
20:45So there's a great example.
20:46That's a great question, actually.
20:49I'm a very flexible person.
20:50I could use that for that.
20:52Maybe I'll take a couple of points off if I get approvals for something.
20:56I haven't done it.
20:58Maybe I'll do it.
20:59Maybe I won't.
21:00But it's a very good question.
21:01Peter, you're very good.
21:03You'll love this one.
21:04Go ahead.
21:05It's not front page news.
21:06But I am just curious.
21:07What is your thought about Tiger Woods now becoming part of the broader Trump family?
21:13Well, I love Tiger and I love Vanessa and they had a great relationship.
21:20I happen to think the relationship with my son, I think I happen to think the relationship
21:25was hurt very badly by the witch hunt that went on Russia, Russia, Russia and all the
21:29crap that they put Don through, who knew nothing about it.
21:33But Vanessa and Don had a very good relationship to have incredible children, five incredible
21:38children, all good athletes, all great students are like great.
21:44And they broke up quite a while ago and which was, to me, very sad because I think they're
21:50both great.
21:51Don and Vanessa.
21:52And Tiger actually called me a few months ago and he and I have a very special, very
21:58good relationship with Tiger.
21:59I played golf with him a couple of times over the last month and he's a fantastic guy and
22:04a fantastic athlete.
22:05And he told me about it and I said, Tiger, that's good.
22:10I'm very happy for both.
22:12I just let them both be happy.
22:14Let them both be happy.
22:15They're both great.
22:16To follow up on China, China, South Korea and Japan say they're going to work together
22:23in cooperation to respond to the tariffs that you're going to put into effect this week.
22:27Are you concerned that this move, the tariffs this week could push some of the United States'
22:32closest allies to work with China?
22:34No, I'm not worried about it.
22:36I'm not worried about it.
22:37Yeah.
22:38Mr. President, can I ask you about something?
22:39China has a chance of doing better, actually, with the tariffs.
22:42It can actually help them in a certain way.
22:44And I think a lot of them will drop their tariffs because, you know, they've been unfairly
22:47tariffing the United States for years.
22:51And if you look at the European Union on cars, the European Union already dropped their tariff
22:57down to two and a half percent.
22:58It was announced a couple of days ago, which is what the United States, which is a very
23:03small tariff.
23:04The United States charged very little.
23:08And a lot of, I think I heard that India, just a little while ago, is going to be dropping
23:12its tariffs very substantially.
23:14And I said, why didn't somebody do this a long time ago?
23:17A lot of countries are going to be dropping their tariffs.
23:19About something that happened in France today, Mr. President, Marine Le Pen, the far-right
23:24leader, got convicted in court and is now banned from running for office for five years.
23:29Do you have a comment?
23:30That's a big deal.
23:32That's a very big deal.
23:33I know all about it.
23:35And a lot of people thought she wasn't going to be convicted of anything.
23:38And I don't know if it means conviction, but she was banned from running for five years
23:41and she's the leading candidate.
23:43That sounds like this country.
23:46That sounds very much like this country.
23:48Okay, anybody else?
23:49Yes, sir.
23:50You've presented with a bunch of proposals for tariffs by your advisors.
23:53They've been talking about that idea publicly.
23:54And who?
23:55That your advisors have presented ideas to you about tariffs and what to do in the next
24:00two days.
24:01Have you settled on any?
24:02Well, you're going to see.
24:03I've settled, yeah, a long time.
24:04Actually, a long time ago.
24:05We talk about it.
24:06We talk about it a lot.
24:07We want to do what's right for the country.
24:08And even the world.
24:09You know, it affects the world, not just this country.
24:13This has been the piggy bank for the entire world.
24:16So it really does affect the world.
24:18And that's important to me.
24:19I'll see.
24:20Yeah.
24:21Mr. President, in the past, you have said that you want the quick return of Austin
24:25Tice, a Marine Corps veteran and a journalist who went missing in Syria over 12 years ago.
24:32Have efforts been made to locate Austin Tice been extended beyond Syria, including potential
24:38leads in Iran?
24:39And do you have plans to get in touch with Ms. Deborah Tice, the mother of Austin Tice?
24:45And also, at the same time, organizations like Hostage Aid Worldwide have been on the
24:50ground in Syria searching for Austin Tice for many years.
24:57Can I get your comment on the future potential future plans to relocate to locate Austin
25:03Tice and to bring him home finally?
25:05So we've been looking, as you know, for Austin for years.
25:09The I don't know about Biden, I don't think Biden was looking for anything, but we were.
25:16And there's been virtually no sign, you know, that there's been no sign of Austin, an incredible
25:23young guy.
25:25The less young now, it's been a long time, it's been many, many years.
25:29The mother is fantastic.
25:30She is a very committed mother that her whole life is to find her son, who was in Syria
25:37and just disappeared off the face of the earth.
25:39So, you know, a lot of bad things happen.
25:42But we're always, you know, we'll know we will never until we find out something definitive
25:47one way or the other.
25:48We'll never stop looking for him.
25:50But we have been and the response, it's just a lot of dead ends.
25:56He's been gone for a long time.
25:58The problem is there's never been a sighting.
26:00You know, sometimes you'll have somebody you're looking for him and there's a sighting.
26:04There's never been a sighting of Austin.
26:07But we are out there and we have great respect for his family and for his mother.
26:11She's been unbelievable.
26:12Yes, the president.
26:13A question about you had outreach with the leaders of Russia and China.
26:20You've made an outreach to Iran.
26:22When are you going to plan to reach out to North Korea and Kim Jong Un any time in the
26:27near future?
26:28Well, I do.
26:29I have a very good relationship with Kim Jong Un.
26:32Now, you people hate to hear that, but it's very important.
26:36I got along with him fantastically, as you know, it started off very rough, very nasty.
26:42Little rocket man.
26:43The whole thing was a nasty deal.
26:45And then one day we got a call that they'd like to meet.
26:48We met.
26:49We have a great relationship.
26:51And yeah, we have.
26:55There is communication.
26:56Yeah.
26:57I think it's very important.
26:59You know, he's a big nuclear nation and and he's a very smart guy.
27:05I got to know him very well.
27:07I remember I put my foot across the line and then I walked across the line.
27:12I don't know if Secret Service was thrilled with that.
27:15They actually wasn't.
27:16They were not too thrilled.
27:18But I have a very good relationship with him.
27:21Yeah, I will probably do something at some point.
27:23Yeah, please.
27:24What's up?
27:25Who's on your shortlist, Mr. President, to replace Elise Stefanik as U.S. ambassador
27:29to the U.N.?
27:31So we have a lot of good people that want it.
27:35First of all, Elise is fantastic and I just don't want to take chances where you go saying
27:38how is the election going?
27:40We have a congressional election that's a little bit close.
27:43I guess the one is in good shape, but the other one's a little bit close.
27:47Randy Fine is a great guy.
27:50They're both good candidates.
27:51They're very good.
27:52But it's, you know, a little bit.
27:55We want to be careful.
27:56And Elise is very popular in her district and so am I.
27:59We won by a lot of points and so did she.
28:04And there's a lot of people that wanted to run for it, but we have no idea are they going
28:07to win.
28:08I think it's just security.
28:09And I said, Elise, what about going back?
28:13Because they love you there.
28:14And she's going to take a big leadership position with Mike Johnson and the group, the speaker.
28:20And I can tell you that for the replacement, we have a lot of people that have asked about
28:27it and would like to do David Friedman, Rick Grinnell, and maybe 30 other people.
28:36Everyone loves that position.
28:38That's a star making position.
28:40And so we'll see what happens.
28:42But we have a lot of people that are interested in going to the United Nations, as you can imagine.
28:46Yeah.
28:47Just a quick music question.
28:49Favorite song to play live is what?
28:51And then my question for you, Mr. President, your favorite rally you did last last year,
28:552024.
28:56What was your favorite one?
28:57Favorite song to play live?
28:58Yeah.
28:59Favorite song to play live?
29:00Oh, that's a tough one.
29:01It'd have to be one of the hits, probably Cowboy and Ball with the Bar.
29:10There's a song that I've played every night that was never a single hit that I probably
29:14should not say the words to in this office right now.
29:17And then for you, Mr. President.
29:18You never met a certain person like me.
29:19By the way, his rallies are amazing.
29:21He does great and gets big crowds.
29:26He's really a star when it comes to that.
29:28He is a very talented guy.
29:31I would say maybe Madison Square Garden because anybody that was there, the owner of the Garden
29:40Jim Dolan, who's, you know, to me, always been terrific.
29:43He said this.
29:44He's never said anything like it.
29:45We had when you announced Madison Square Garden, you know, it's a big arena, but we sell out
29:51big arenas.
29:52We sold out of Milwaukee.
29:53We sold out at every big arena.
29:54We don't have we never had empty seats.
29:56It's amazing.
29:57They talk about Bernie Sanders gets two or three thousand people over these crowds.
30:01I get one hundred and seven thousand people in New Jersey.
30:05In Butler, PA, we had over one hundred thousand the second time.
30:09We had fifty five thousand the first time we have big crowds.
30:12I would say Madison Square Garden because I grew up in New York and the garden is great.
30:18Jim Dolan treated us well, but everybody said that because I think I could have filled it
30:22up ten times.
30:24We had hundreds of thousands of people that were stacked all the way back to the Hudson
30:29River and on the other direction, back to Fifth Avenue.
30:32Nobody's ever said I don't mean with a line.
30:34I mean, like 50 deep, like 50 deep this way.
30:39The streets were closed.
30:40The whole thing.
30:41It was crazy.
30:42And when you take that, you know, you want to do well at Madison Square Garden.
30:45You don't want to have empty seats.
30:48But we could have sold it out, Brian, ten times and everybody knew it.
30:51And I think we got a good indication that that's where the election was going.
30:54And we won every swing state and we won by millions of votes.
30:58It was it was a great election.
31:00Yeah.
31:01The U.S. military transferred 17 individuals to El Salvador overnight.
31:05Did you discuss with your team whether these deportations would run afoul of any recent
31:10court orders?
31:11No, I do want to thank, however, the president.
31:14He has been unbelievable and, you know, in relation to us.
31:20But I think that our people have done an incredible job.
31:24You know, I got elected on the basis of getting bad people out of our country that shouldn't
31:28be here.
31:29Very dangerous people out of our country.
31:32And that's what I did.
31:33And then you have a judge that wants to take over.
31:36And I can't imagine it can be allowed if it was up to him that all be put back in our
31:40country.
31:41These are killers.
31:42These are drug lords.
31:43These are really bad people.
31:45But I want to thank the president of El Salvador because he's he did a he's done an amazing
31:51job.
31:52You saw it.
31:53Yeah.
31:54Elon Musk's special government tenure is coming to an end in 130 days, I think another month.
32:00Do you want him to stay longer or is it time for him to go back to running his companies?
32:03Well, I think he's an amazing, but I also think he's got a big company to run.
32:07And so at some point he's going to be going back.
32:09He wants to.
32:10But I keep him as long as I could keep him.
32:14He's a very talented guy.
32:16You know, I love very smart people and he's very smart and he's done a good job.
32:21You know, Doge Doge is.
32:25We found numbers that nobody can even believe, like four hundred billion, five hundred billion.
32:31It could be close to a trillion dollars by the time they end on different things.
32:38And he's led the charge and you've seen a lot of his people.
32:41And these are people that joined up.
32:43I would say the high IQ people, I like high IQ people, and they've done a great job.
32:49I don't know.
32:50At some point, Elon's going to want to go back to his company.
32:51I will say he's got, despite the way he's been treated.
32:56So he's an American patriot.
32:58But the way he's been treated with Tesla is just terrible.
33:01It's just terrible.
33:02Once he goes back.
33:03You have a Tesla and you love it.
33:06You know, he was saying before he bought a Tesla and a lot of people are buying Teslas,
33:10I think.
33:11And I hope they are.
33:12He should not be treated that way.
33:14He's done an incredible service.
33:16Once he goes back, is Doge going to keep operating even without Elon here?
33:20Well, I can't tell you that.
33:21I can say this, that a lot of the people that are working with Doge are the secretaries,
33:25you know, the heads of the various agencies.
33:28And they've learned a lot.
33:30And they're dealing with the Doge people.
33:32I think some of them may try and keep the Doge people with them.
33:36But you know, at a certain point, I think it will end.
33:38But they have also gotten a big education and they're doing a really good job.
33:43There'll be a point at which the secretaries will be able to do this work and do it very,
33:49you know, as we say, with the scalpel.
33:51And that's what we want.
33:52Yeah, Jeff.
33:53Mr. President, have you had any updates on the U.S. soldiers missing in Lithuania?
33:57I have.
33:58Can you give us an update?
33:59So three are no longer with us.
34:03And one is unfortunately probably in the same category, but they haven't declared that yet.
34:10It was a very heavy truck, like I told you, but I mean, really heavy that left lifted
34:15the heaviest equipment.
34:17It would seem that the bank of a lake collapsed, you know, the weight is so big.
34:22And it was at night and it was very cold weather and ice, a lot of ice.
34:27And it's possibly slipped and the weight is so enormous of this thing.
34:32It's a massively heavy vehicle.
34:36And if they slipped a little bit, they it's probably what happened and it flipped.
34:41And three are are gone.
34:46And one is missing.
34:47On a separate topic, a follow up on immigration, did you see the video of the Tufts University
34:53student who was taken off the street by ICE agents last week in hoodies and masks?
35:00There's been a lot of criticism of that.
35:02Are you comfortable with how that was handled?
35:03Well, I haven't really looked at it in any detail, but I will.
35:06I mean, I have seen it quickly, but not I wouldn't want to comment on.
35:10Yeah, please.
35:11Yeah.
35:12Mr. President, would you be able to confirm recent reporting that you are making plans
35:16to go to Saudi Arabia next month?
35:18And if so, why is Saudi Arabia so important?
35:21So I have a very good relationship with the Middle East.
35:25In fact, if you look at Michigan, I won the vote by a lot.
35:29People were a little surprised.
35:31And I have a very good relationship with Mohammed and the king son is Mohammed.
35:36He's great.
35:37Crown Prince.
35:38Actually, he's prime minister to he's got a lot of good titles, but he's great.
35:44And the king has been wonderful.
35:46And if you remember last time I went to Saudi Arabia, I put him first in the list because
35:51they agreed to buy four hundred and fifty billion dollars worth of American goods, military
35:58and otherwise.
35:59And they did.
36:00And it was an unbelievable day.
36:02It was in this gorgeous ballroom and companies were there from many, many, probably one hundred
36:08companies.
36:09And they were given anywhere from 40 or 50 million dollars to less and more.
36:18Actually, some of them were given numbers that were just many times that amount.
36:22I think we had a couple of 20 billion dollar deals and big stuff.
36:27And it's a very rich country because of oil.
36:30And we are a very rich country ultimately when we straighten out because of oil.
36:35Oil is always good.
36:37And I agreed to do it again.
36:40But they've agreed to spend close to a trillion dollars of money in our American companies,
36:46which to me means jobs.
36:48So they're going to spend hundreds of billions of dollars giving them to American companies
36:56that are going to be making equipment for Saudi Arabia and other places in the Middle
37:01East.
37:03And for that, I think it's worth it.
37:04I did it last time.
37:05Four hundred and fifty billion.
37:07And the press was there.
37:08It was a it was it was one of the most unique days I've ever seen, where companies would
37:13get up and you're getting 20 billion, the name of the company, the chairman.
37:17We're all there.
37:18Every chairman and top person in the company.
37:20You remember that, Peter?
37:21I don't know if you were there.
37:22You might be too young for that.
37:23I was on the Democratic campaign trail.
37:24Oh, that was boring.
37:27This was a much better deal.
37:29But it was amazing.
37:31Actually, it was an amazing day.
37:33We sold and we partook in four hundred and fifty billion dollars worth of investment
37:39into American companies.
37:41And they announced the company, the amount of money, a billion dollars, five billion
37:45dollars, twenty five billion dollars.
37:47And the chairman of the company, many of whom, you know, well-known figures, prestigious
37:53figures, great business leaders, they went up, they shook the hand of somebody and they
37:58would sit down and we just had a big investment made.
38:02So it was a record.
38:04Nobody ever beat it before.
38:05Four hundred and fifty billion dollars worth of jobs.
38:07I view it as jobs more than anything else.
38:10And now we're close to a trillion dollars.
38:12So it's more than double the number that we did when I first came to office.
38:16And this could take place next month.
38:20It could be next month, maybe a little bit later.
38:22And we're going to Qatar also.
38:28And also, we're going to possibly a couple of other countries.
38:32UAE is very important.
38:34It's a great leader in UAE.
38:38And I had his brother here the other night, if you saw that, we had a wonderful guy, a
38:43wonderful family.
38:44So we'll probably stop at UAE and Qatar and as I used to call it, Qatar.
38:50Nobody's ever told me right or wrong.
38:52I always like to say Qatar, but it's Qatar.
38:55They like to say Qatar.
38:57And Saudi Arabia, the three of them, and then we'll go other places also.
39:01But in the Middle East, those seem to be the three.
39:03And again, tremendous amounts of jobs will be created that in those two or three days.
