00:00around this circus before. Yeah I mean it's always still pretty wild and surreal.

00:04What's different about this time? I mean the fact that I'm here for music means so much.

00:07You know being a piano player since I was a kid and wanting to be a composer since I was a kid

00:11like this just means a lot and uh this time of our life is really just kind of a lot of

00:16emotion so it's exciting. Is the baby gonna be named Oscar? Depends on how the night goes.

00:21That's a lot of pressure on the academy. No pressure, no pressure.

00:32When you hear the best original songs aren't being performed this year what do you think?

00:36Yeah I was really um disappointed by it. Like it's like such a special moment it's like amazing

00:39to hear these songs and I'm sure the academy is going to do something to help us understand the

00:44process and like the creation of those things and so I trust their judgment but it's definitely

00:49always a moment that I enjoy in the show and we'll miss it and we'll see what the night's like.
