00:00Good morning, my name's Tom Cubson. I'm a Group Manager for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service.
00:07We're currently in attendance at an incident on the Shadworth Industrial Estate in Blackburn.
00:13On arrival our crews were met with a well-developed fire involving polypropylene at one of the businesses on the industrial estate.
00:22We have ten fire engines in attendance and a range of special fire appliances such as aerial lanners.
00:29As part of our tactical plan to fight the fire we're advising all the local residents in the area to keep windows and doors shut.
00:39Likewise for people that are driving in the area to keep your windows shut.
00:44The smoke plume has significantly reduced over the last hour and the fire is surrounded.
00:52I'd like to thank all our partners that have worked with us to bring this fire under control in the early hours of this morning.
01:02We're going to be here throughout the day with four fire engines and an aerial ladder damping down and dealing with hot spots as they flare up.
01:19I'd like to thank everybody for their efforts this morning to bring this incident to a safe and successful conclusion.
