00:00Yesterday evening I went to a publicly advertised youth demand event.
00:04This was a welcome talk where everyone was welcome to come and hear who we are as a campaign,
00:09come and hear the plan in April.
00:11And the police showed up.
00:13And now we're not talking about just a couple of cops,
00:15we're talking about roughly 30 police breaking down the door of a Quaker meeting house,
00:21storming in, arresting everyone on conspiracy to cause a public nuisance,
00:26seizing everyone's phones and laptops and then dragging everyone away to custody.
00:29We still have three people from that welcome talk in custody.
00:32We're going to a welcome talk.
00:35Like, this is insane.
00:37This is the level of state repression that we are living in and this is a massive wake-up call.
00:41But I think what's really important to take from this is that it means that what we're doing is working.
00:46They are putting massive resources into shutting us down before we've even started
00:50because they know what we are capable of.
00:52We are a community of resistance and we are powerful.
00:56Just hours after we heard that people had been arrested,
00:58we mobilized, we got out and we cared for our community and we are coming back stronger.
01:03We will not be deterred.
01:04We will let this fuel us because we know that it means that we are winning.
01:07It means that the government, that the police, that the state is afraid of us,
01:12that they recognize the power that we have.
01:14The police take our movement seriously, so it's time that we take ourselves seriously too.
01:19It's time that we get together to shut London down in April.
01:22And you can start by joining us on Tuesday 1 April, 6.30pm, Mallett Street, outside the Senate House Library.
01:29We'll see you on the streets.
