00:00Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro denounced the unilateral coercive measures imposed by
00:05the Trump administration against the Venezuelan productivist system, condemning that these
00:10actions were requested by the Venezuelan extreme right wing.
00:14During the installation of the National Economic Council, President Maduro made a call to confront
00:20the economic war announcement promoted by the government of the United States and the
00:24Venezuelan extreme right wing.
00:26He also stated that Venezuelan migrants are victims of the sanctions and the economic
00:31war that forced them to emigrate.
00:34In this context, the Venezuelan head of state reiterated that in spite of the sanctions
00:39and economic blockade, the Venezuelan people have achieved in the first quarter of the
00:44year an economic growth of 4.5% in the Gross Domestic Product.
00:57In its opportunity, the criminal economic sanctions condemned by the entire Venezuelan
01:03public opinion were carefully requested by a few unspeakable individuals, who have pretended
01:09and believed that by causing economic harm, and consequently causing social harm to their
01:15country, our country which belongs to all Venezuelans, they are going to have a bed
01:37of roses to reach political power in Venezuela and become the saviors in some cases of national
01:48history.
01:54Since the history we have lived through has shown that it is a crime against an entire
01:58country, against an entire society to have requested or supported sanctions against
02:07the economy and the healthy functioning of the national productive mechanism.
02:19President Maduro also condemned the violations of human rights suffered by Venezuelan migrants
02:54The sanctions did with the Jews all Venezuelan migration as a migration of criminals.
03:00This is not a migration of criminals.
03:02I come out in defense of Venezuelan migrants.
03:05It is an economic migration of decent productive working people.
03:17President Maduro also pointed out that there is a market dollar that must be respected
03:22in order to establish the mechanisms to defend it.
03:30We have an old enemy, the war dollar.
03:33We are going to fight against all the mechanisms of robbery and speculation.
03:37There is a market dollar, some call it the official dollar.
03:41It is a mistake.
03:42It is not a dollar because we did not establish it.
03:45It was established by the market.
03:47It is a mistake.
03:48Those who love Venezuela do not stimulate under any aspect the war dollar.
03:55Those who love Venezuela respect the market dollar which we built in this year of fighting
04:01for the new exchange system.
04:02It is a battle over who can do more, the war dollar or the construction of a market dollar
04:07that benefits economic stability, growth, production, trade, and the satisfaction of
04:13the needs of the country.
04:15In El Salvador, Cristo Sala, a 25-year-old human rights organization, has issued a report
04:25deeming the deportation of Venezuelans from the United States to prisons in El Salvador
04:30as illegal.
04:31Moreover, they say the refusal by the administration of President Nayib Bukele to disclose the
04:36identity of the said prisoners is a violation of human rights according to international
04:42law which tantamount to a forced disappearance or kidnap.
04:47They argue that no person can be arrested in anonymity for it is a violation of a basic
04:54right like communicating with relatives and lawyers or receiving visitors while in prison.
05:06We stay in Venezuela where President Nicolás Maduro received the Arab Muslim community
05:11at the Miraflores Palace to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
05:16The Venezuelan president emphasized during the meeting that the times of Ramadan have
05:20served to pray for the people of Palestine and its independence.
05:25He also stated that both peoples are united in the struggle for freedom and justice.
05:29For his part, the spiritual guide of the Caracas Mosque thanked the president for his firm
05:35opposition and support to the Palestinian cause during all times where the Zionist regime
05:42has criminally attacked the people of Gaza.
05:45The meeting was part of the closing of the holy month of Ramadan which represents one
05:49of the fundamental pillars of Islam.
06:00And we in Venezuela feel a great satisfaction that the Muslim community coexists and lives
06:06in peace in our country Venezuela.
06:13You are Venezuelans just like all of us and Venezuela will always have the doors open
06:17for the Muslim community, for the Muslim people everywhere to continue living together in
06:23holy peace and unity.
