00:05The debut of Max Fried is coming fast and furious today, and guess who he's going to
00:09be facing off with? It is old buddy Nestor Cortez. And then Sunday, Aaron Sovali will
00:15take on Marcus Stroman. So I think should be a fun series in between. All eyes, of course,
00:21will be on Max Fried. But, George, I think we also know that Nestor Cortez is going to
00:25be supremely motivated to take down his old team, too. So I think that's one of the better
00:31matchups of today.
00:33It's a fun matchup, right? You already said it. Fried making his Yankee debut with the
00:37big-money contract he signed during the offseason. We'll see how he does there. And as you said,
00:41Cortez traded for pretty much Devin Williams here. The Yankees, at that point, had a whole
00:46bunch of extra starters here. Have to wonder, by the way, if they can redo that. Cortez
00:51might still be a Yankee. Weavers, you're close here. You're still fighting. You've got the
00:54extra start here. The Yankees might, or they're going to need at some point during the season.
00:57But should be an interesting matchup today. It's a beautiful day in New York today. Best
01:02day of the year by far. 75 and sunny, which for March is amazing here. Maybe we get some
01:07runs today as well. Ball might be flying out of Yankee Stadium.
