00:00It was very overwhelming for me because the reason why I went back, it was a mission with
00:06UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency and Syria's refugee crisis or displacement crisis is the number
00:14one in the world.
00:15It's really sad.
00:16It's 30 million people were displaced within and outside of Syria, 7 million still are
00:21displaced and 81% go back to their destroyed homes, including myself.
00:28So for me, I have a plan B, I have a home in Germany, I established a new life but other
00:35people don't.
00:36So it is my duty and my responsibility to go back as a goodwill ambassador and we went
00:40to multiple cities in Syria, we met with families, we saw projects that UNHCR are running on
00:46the ground.
00:48It was incredibly helpful for me to see that even in the destruction, I met a young girl
00:53that came and her smile was bigger than all of us combined.
00:57And I was like, for these children, I want to do my best.
