00:00Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most unjustifiable
00:11lip-sync moments on Drag Race that rightly cost a queen the win.
00:22Number 10.
00:23Alyssa Hunter's Gun Fails In storytelling, the principle of Chekhov's
00:28gun says that if you introduce a gun, it better go off at some point.
00:32Unfortunately for Alyssa Hunter, she failed to deliver that much-needed payoff during
00:36her lip-sync against Keri Colby.
00:46Alyssa started strong, serving the perfect blend of sensuality and playfulness to J.
00:49Lo's play.
00:50However, her downfall came when she grabbed her money gun, aimed, fired, and nothing happened.
00:57With no dramatic cash shower to wow the judges, she was left awkwardly tossing bills by hand
01:12like a last-minute club promoter.
01:14The disappointment in the room was palpable.
01:17This one prop malfunction cost Alyssa the lip-sync and her place in the competition.
01:29Number 9.
01:30Mirage Doesn't Know The Words The first rule of a lip-sync is to know the
01:34words.
01:35Ignore this, and no matter how dazzling your moves are, you are probably sashaying away.
01:40That's exactly what happened to Mirage.
01:52Heading into this lip-sync, pretty much everyone assumed Mirage had it in the bag.
01:57After all, she had already wowed the judges with her jaw-dropping talent show routine.
02:01Performance-wise, she still delivered, but there was one glaring problem.
02:05She didn't know a single lyric to Cher's Dark Lady, and no amount of watermelon watermelon
02:10was gonna save her.
02:18To make matters worse, her hair got caught in her costume, forcing her to waste precious
02:23seconds untangling herself.
02:25At that point, it was clear she had lost the battle.
02:36Number 8.
02:37Charli Hydes' Stand Still Some songs can be effectively lip-synced
02:41to by standing in one spot and delivering the right emotions.
02:44I Wanna Go by Britney Spears is not one of those songs.
03:05Yet when Charli Hydes faced off against Trinity The Tuck, he inexplicably chose to stand still,
03:11only making weird movements with his hands.
03:14Despite multiple pleas from the other queens, Charli made no real effort to fight for himself,
03:18essentially handing Trinity an easy win.
03:26He later revealed that he had cracked a rib during the season's cheerleading challenge,
03:30which hampered his ability to perform.
03:32However, to the judges, it simply looked like he was waving the white flag, so they obliged
03:37him and sent him home.
03:50Number 7.
03:51Monét X Change Breaks the Stage Lights
04:04After the makeover challenge, Monét X Change failed to impress the judges and landed in
04:08the bottom two yet again.
04:09It was her third time in that position, and with Cameron Michaels, an equally fierce performer
04:14as her opponent, the odds were not in her favor.
04:17Still, Monét kicked things off strong, serving the swagger and flair that Lizzo's Good As
04:22Hell demands.
04:33For most of the performance, it was anyone's game.
04:36That is, until Monét strutted to the back of the stage and lunged forward into a split,
04:41accidentally shattering a stage bulb in the process.
04:44Although she recovered flawlessly, that seemed to be the moment RuPaul made the decision
04:48to send her home.
04:56Number 6.
04:57Mo Hart's Wig Flies Off
04:58The first lip-sync of the season saw Mo Hart and Trinity The Tuck battle it out to Mariah
05:03Carey's Emotions.
05:12For Mo, this was her first time lip-syncing on the show since The Vixen sent her packing
05:17on Season 10.
05:18And she really only had two tasks – know the words and keep her wig on.
05:23She managed to accomplish just one.
05:25Midway through, Mo flipped her head upside down and launched her wig into the air.
05:42It could have been a fierce move, if there was another wig underneath, but revealing
05:46to nothing sucked the air out of her performance, even though it was admittedly a hilarious
05:51gag.
05:52Unsurprisingly, Mo lost the lip-sync and received some much-needed wisdom from Mama Ru.
06:06Number 5.
06:07Lydia B. Collins Pulls Out The Scissors
06:23From her unforgettable lip-sync against Arrietty to her winning routine in the Villains Roast,
06:26Lydia B. Collins always managed to surprise the judges.
06:29However, after landing in the bottom two for the third time, Lydia's final surprise left
06:34everyone disappointed.
06:47Feeling too unholy by Kim Petras and Sam Smith, who was seated on the judges' panel,
06:52Lydia's performance was already good enough.
06:55But then, feeling constrained by her floor-length gown, she made the disastrous decision to
06:59pull out a pair of scissors and cut herself loose.
07:09What followed was an excruciatingly long struggle that felt like it would never end, yet somehow,
07:15she still couldn't free herself entirely.
07:17In the end, Lydia ruined a stunning gown and still sashayed away.
07:22Number 4.
07:23Bebe Zahara Benet's Wig Reveal Fail
07:25The sixth episode of All-Stars 3 delivered one of the most gag-worthy moments in drag
07:30race herstory.
07:45But, Bendelecrem wouldn't have had the chance to eliminate herself if she had lost the lip-sync
07:49to Bebe Zahara Benet.
07:51For a moment, that seemed possible, as Bebe was giving all the right emotions, even without
07:56much movement.
07:57But, as the performance got to its climax, she reached for her wig, setting up what we
08:02assumed would be a legendary reveal.
08:04And yet, nothing.
08:16You'd think the first-ever drag race winner would know better, but given that she basically
08:20stopped watching after her win, it wasn't entirely shocking.
08:23This misstep handed Bendelecrem the victory, and the perfect opportunity to exit the competition.
08:33Number 3.
08:38Valentina Refuses to Take Off the Mask
08:49There are plenty of queens on Drag Race who didn't know the words to the lip-sync song,
08:53but managed to fake it well enough to fool the judges.
08:56In Season 9, fan-favorite Valentina tried to do the same, but took the most obvious
09:01approach ever.
09:02Valentina wore a face mask as part of her runway look, and simply refused to take it
09:06off once the lip-sync began.
09:17Even after RuPaul stopped the performance and told her point-blank to remove it, she
09:21tried to hold her ground.
09:23Eventually, Valentina complied and confirmed what everyone already suspected.
09:27She had no clue what the words to Ariana Grande's Greedy were.
09:36Needless to say, she was given the chop.
09:39Number 2.
09:40Aja O'Hara's Lifeless Butterflies
09:42After Sasha Velour's legendary wig reveal at the Season 9 finale, it seemed every queen
09:47was scrambling to outdo her.
09:49Aja O'Hara aimed to top the spectacle at the next season's finale by incorporating
09:53live butterflies hidden in her costume.
10:04The plan, it seems, was to have them fly out dramatically and flutter about on stage.
10:09It might have made for a breathtaking moment, had things gone according to plan.
10:13However, for some reason, the butterflies refused to take flight.
10:21Instead, they tumbled lifelessly to the floor, creating a spectacle of an entirely different
10:30kind.
10:31Thankfully, they were still alive, but the same could not be said for Aja's shot at
10:35the crown.

11:05Mimi I'm First Picks Up Her Opponent
11:08Drag is many things, a fierce and captivating art form, but one thing it is not is a contact
11:14sport.
11:15Mimi I'm First might have benefited from learning this before going into her lip sync
11:19against India Farah.
11:20Throughout the performance, Mimi did everything but set the stage on fire to hog the spotlight.
11:32While, that alone wasn't a crime, what she did next cemented this lip sync as one
11:42of the most shocking moments in the show's history.
11:44When India went down to perform directly in front of the judges, Mimi followed and decided
11:49to hoist her onto her shoulders.
12:00It was an unbelievably poor choice with zero justification, and for that, RuPaul wasted
12:07no time in eliminating her.
