00:00Okay, so if you've got two messages already we've agreed on being aimed at America, one is
00:05don't lift the sanctions, the other is Russia isn't serious. Who's going to convey those
00:11messages to President Trump? I mean, and how are those messages going to be conveyed to President
00:15Trump? Clearly all this would be easier if America and Europe were on the same page,
00:20but there's a big geopolitical question here. That Donald Trump is reinterpreting his relationship
00:26with the West, is changing this attitude that America's had for decades, that they lead the
00:32West, that they have some sort of duty to uphold the international rules-based order. That's now
00:37all gone. Everything is transactional with friend and foe, and we need to explain to the American
00:43President, indeed to the American people, how dangerous that is. This tariff's being talked
00:47about today, that would actually impact and hurt America. It's better that we actually work
00:53together. The bigger challenge this century is actually not Russia, it's China, and surely we
00:58can help America deal with that geopolitical tussle that's going to take place, if we're
01:03not distracted by potential growing conflict with Russia.
