00:00Hi there, it's John Blow from the Yorkshire Post here. I'm going to take you through some of the things coming up in the week ahead.
00:06The Annalista Birthday Festival continues in celebration of the Halifax landowner, diarist and inspiration behind Sally Wainwright's Gentleman Jack.
00:14Events start at the weekend but will go on until Saturday this week and organisers say that more than 70 activities are on during the festival, which celebrates what would be Lister's 234th birthday.
00:26Elsewhere, National Living Wage increase comes into effect from tomorrow. The minimum wage will rise by 6.7% to £12.21 an hour for those aged 21 and over, while for people aged 20 it will increase by £1.40 to £10 an hour.
00:44Meanwhile, electric cars lose exemption from vehicle excise duty and stamp duty discounts become less generous for some homebuyers. Stamp duty applies in England and Northern Ireland.
00:55Visitors to York's National Railway Museum will get the chance to climb aboard Flying Scotsman from this Saturday through to April 23rd.
01:04As part of the museum's 50th birthday celebrations, the locomotive will take centre stage in the Flying Scotsman story exhibition.
