00:00You want things to be done as discreetly as possible, because Singh does have a history
00:04for being spooked, if you like, when people go public before a deal is completed. So I
00:09think that that's probably a positive thing. I think the statement from the interim board
00:13was certainly positive. Obviously, the one thing that we have questioned about that is why the
00:20board remain anonymous, even though we have a fairly clear idea that it's the previous board
00:25members, Lenny Lawrence, Andy Steele and John Pearson, as well as Lee Rust, Joe Monks and
00:31Rose Stoker. But given that, to a greater or lesser extent, this group of individuals have
00:37the future of the club in their hands to a degree, it seems unusual that the club haven't named them
00:44officially or publicly. But I think the statement was really positive. It was sensibly worded.
00:51It was measured. It was positive. It was open about what they were able to be open about.
00:59And obviously, it was reassuring for Pools fans to know that the club had already entered talks
01:05with a number of parties and that the interim board were enthusiastic about the prospect of a
01:10deal being completed. Obviously, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. I think we
01:17have to try and remain optimistic. I know that that's not always easy. I think Saturday's game,
01:22as you said, if there was anyone watching on on Saturday, they would see that Pools certainly do
01:27have plenty of good players and a fan base, obviously, with massive potential as well.
01:32So I think there is plenty to like about Hartlepool United. Obviously, you've just got to
01:37hope that a deal gets done sooner rather than later, because that deadline is coming around
01:44fairly quickly and without wanting to get ahead of ourselves. Obviously, there is next season
01:48to think about. Sometimes these takeover deals, when they do
01:51drag on somewhat, they can have a knock-on effect on the following season.
