00:00Everything's sort of ramping up now, sparring and everything, and training sort of finishing up, but yeah, it's more about like the end of camp, which is always a good feeling.
00:13There's been a bit around, you know, who's going to be in your corner next week, I suppose, you know, what do you kind of save that criticism like, you know, speculation?
00:24This is the first time I'm hearing about this, and I woke up, I actually got told today about all this stuff. There was no, there is no rumours of who's going to be in my corner, it was always going to be one thing. It's just fake news coming from the mouth here.
00:41Love to hear that. So I suppose, you know, in terms of how you're feeling and camp and everything like that, you know, obviously a big decision last year to step away, and now looking back on that, do you feel like that was a good decision, and you know, you feel so much better for it coming into next week?
00:57About going to America?
00:59Just about, you know, taking a bit of a break, like after, yeah.
01:03Oh, look, it was, what, like a six week break, which sort of occupied my getting married. I wouldn't say it was crazy, but one of those things that's needed in life, and I'm glad I got it done.
01:19You feeling good, though? That was even good for the headspace to do that, do something a bit different?
01:23Of course, of course. I think sometimes in this boxing world we live a selfish life and it's all about yourself, but yeah, you have to think about the people around you.
01:34Also sort of saw this morning that you're already eyeing off some other fights later this year. Do you start thinking about those yet, and you know, obviously just thinking about next week?
01:46Yeah, I've made the mistake before to look through my opponent, look at my opponent and see if it's all that's on my mind. Newcastle next week and my opponent next year.
02:01This will be your third fight in Newcastle, I suppose. Why do you love coming back and what is it about a Newcastle crowd that, you know, really brings the energy, brings the vibe?
02:11Yeah, I think it's a different experience. I've fought in Vegas, I've fought in two stadiums before, but when I was walking out to the Dennis Hogan fight in Newcastle, it was something that I'd never felt before.
02:27The war, the feeling of being in the crowd, the feeling of walking out to a crowd like that, it was unbelievable. So, yeah, when I came back from America, I pushed, pushed for the fact that I want to feel that again. And it's good for the Newcastle people as well.
02:47When you hear Zoo Castle, what do you think of? What's it make you feel?
02:53It's pretty unreal. It's pretty unreal in there. We're doing the entertainment centre, they named it after that as well, so that was pretty cool. But yeah, it's an honour for me, a big responsibility. It means the world to have the people behind you.
03:12How do you describe this fight? I've heard it's sort of a do or die, most important of your career. How do you view it? How do you see this?
03:22Like a lion stalking its prey.
03:29In terms of Joey, you mentioned you were studying your opponent. A week out, what have you come to know and come to expect this time next week?
03:39I've looked at his stuff, but I'm not focused on him. I'm focusing on myself. I know what he brings. It's always going to be a tough challenge, but it's the best me that's going to come in there. That's all I'm focusing on.
03:54Obviously, this date's been circled on the calendar for a long time. What do the next seven, eight days entail?
04:02Make or wait. They're doing a shitload of cameras. That's what I'm going to be doing.
04:10Do you spend any extra time in Newcastle today? Are you here from now?
04:16No, I'm coming back from a quick in and out trip. I'll probably be arriving Thursday. We're doing something here at Charleston Square, somewhere like that.
04:32Come Sunday or Sunday week, what are you expecting?
04:36What am I expecting? Expect the unexpected. That's what I've learned. Don't expect anything. Just go in there with an open mind.
04:49Good luck next weekend.
04:51Thanks, Tim.

04:55Absolutely appreciate it.
