00:00This is what happens when you let good cops be cops, and we're going to continue to let

00:04good cops be cops across this country.

00:07President Trump gave us the executive decision to go after and safeguard our communities.

00:11General Bondi is our warrior of justice leading that charge.

00:14Governor Yunkin, it's an honor to be a partner in this operation with you and U.S. Attorney

00:18Siebert.

00:19This is the mandate we have.

00:21Right now we have an American dying every seven minutes from a drug overdose.

00:26That is a national security crisis we have not seen ever before.

00:30We have a woman or child being raped every six and a half minutes in this country.

00:34We have a homicide twice an hour.

00:37No part of that metric is a safe and secure America, but thanks to the brave leadership

00:42of this administration and the folks that you see here, we are returning our communities

00:47to safety.

00:48As you heard, we took down this morning a top leader of MS-13.

00:53That is not done easily.

00:54That is done with brilliant law enforcement.

00:57And right here, I'm proud, and I think the governor knows I'm biased, having graduated

01:00from the University of Richmond, to have this here in the state of Virginia, here in our

01:04Northern Virginia Resident Agency, with our partnership with our Washington Field Office

01:08and our special agents, our SOS folks, our intel analysts, and our support staff.

01:13My priority has been law enforcement across the country, and that will not change.

01:18But law enforcement across the country cannot be done just by Washington, D.C., and the

01:22federal government alone.

01:23This task force was stood up one month ago.

01:26In one month, the brave men and women on this task force from state, local, and federal

01:31authorities have arrested 342 criminals in the state of Virginia alone.

01:37We wanted this to be a successful model.

01:39It is a successful model because of you, because of your men and women on the streets.

01:44We have the easy job in Washington, D.C.

01:48You take it to the max every single day.

01:50You put your safety on the line.

01:52You put your selfless desires ahead of going home and seeing your families at night because

01:58you care more about safeguarding our schools and our community than you do your own safety.

02:04So we will always have the backs of good cops because you have the backs of the American

02:08people.

02:09And this task force is going to go everywhere it is needed across the United States to bring

02:15the form of justice and measured security and safety that our American citizens deserve.

02:20It is an America First model because we live in the United States of America.

02:24And if you are here illegally, you will not be here any longer.

02:29And if you are going to continue to commit acts of violent crime, you will meet the same

02:33fate that this individual did this morning.

02:36And I just want to reiterate what our partners said behind us.

02:40This is not possible without the folks that do the job every single day.

02:46And as director of the FBI, it is a privilege to lead some of these brave men and women.

02:51And the only ask that I have of you in the community is the next time you see a cop,

02:56thank them.

02:57The next time you see someone safeguarding our schools, shake their hand.

03:00The next time you see our brave men and women of the FBI and the local and federal state

03:05police take down a violent terrorist, maybe give them a hug.

03:10Because those guys, those gals are the ones that are going to continue to keep our city

03:15safe.

03:16And we will not stop until this national security crisis is recognized, brought into check,

03:23and eliminated.
