00:00I'm too scared.
00:02We all are.
00:16I think we should try and gather whoever we can and
00:19take them to the chambers lounge
00:22and wait for the police to arrive.
00:30I was in Mumbai when this happened.
00:45I was shooting about 8 miles away from this place.
00:48Initially we thought that it was a gang war shootout.
00:51But then it was discovered and then it was 72 hours
00:54of horrific ordeal of watching this whole thing unfolding
00:57on television.
01:00It was frightening, it was saddening and it was traumatic
01:04and it made me feel very helpless
01:07because we couldn't do anything about it.
01:10And then when we became part of this film
01:29to relive that whole thing and to reenact out the whole thing
01:32was much more difficult because some emotional memory
01:36was coming back and I knew a lot of people who were
01:39impacted by it and who lost their relatives.
01:42I knew the general manager who lost his family
01:44in the event over there.
01:48But it's also a film about resilience,
01:50it's also a film about courage,
01:52it's finding heroes from the ordinary people.
01:56But to get through this we must stick together.
02:02To create a piece like this that is thoroughly unflinching,
02:05to make an audience sit for two hours
02:08and really put a microscope to a situation like this,
02:12see the dead eyes of those young radicalized teenagers
02:15carrying those AK-47s.
02:18It's a catharsis and it makes us understand
02:21the madness a little better.
02:23And through that you see these tiny moments
02:25where humanity wins and goodness wins
02:29and it's really inspiring.
02:31I love you so much.
02:35This isn't about sort of just telling a story
02:38about what's going on.
02:40This is about enlightening the world
02:42and showing exactly how terrible events like this are.
02:46And the fact that they happen all the time is just,
02:48it's appalling.
03:05So I have four kids at home.
03:07I know, Dilip.
03:09Nobody is forcing you to stay.
