00:00NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has warned Russia that the alliance would always stand by Poland or any other member, saying its reaction to an attack would be devastating.
00:12Rutte gave the warning on Wednesday during a visit to Warsaw, the Polish capital.
00:17If anyone were to miscalculate and think they can get away with an attack on Poland or on any other ally, they will be met with the full force of this fierce alliance.
00:33Our reaction will be devastating. This has to be very clear to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and anyone else who wants to attack us.
00:43Rutte has in the past warned that Russia could be capable of launching an attack again on European soil by the end of the decade.
00:51For his part, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk thanked the NATO Secretary General for his support and urged preparations for different scenarios of US negotiations with Russia and Ukraine.
01:03Our influence on these negotiations is, I would say, slightly limited.
01:09So we as NATO, we as Poland, have to be prepared for scenarios that are not 100% written by us.
01:22NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized that Poland has been a valued ally for 26 years and is an example for other member states, with 4.7% of GDP.
01:36During his visit to Warsaw, Mark Rutte also met with President Andrzej Duda and heads of defense and foreign affairs resorts.
01:45He also gave a lecture at the Warsaw School of Commerce.
