00:00Hey, what's going on, everybody?
00:01I'm Francisco Lindor, and these are my 10 essentials.
00:03♪♪
00:08A bat is definitely an essential.
00:10It's part of my daily job, but it's not because of that.
00:15It's...well, it is because of that.
00:18There's a bat in every corner in my house,
00:20whether it's in my closet, my daughter's room,
00:23and it's just, I feel like taking swings,
00:26and it just puts me in that state of mind of, like,
00:29there's always something that I can improve on.
00:31I envision pictures. I'm big into visualizing it.
00:33I just grab my bat around the house,
00:36and I work on my mechanics, and just getting better.
00:39I probably use 35 to 50 bats in a year.
00:43Not that I break that many, but over time,
00:46you just get tired of looking at the same one
00:49that's all beat up.
00:50You just get a new one.
00:51That's the perks of playing in the big leagues.
00:54Every year, I choose one or two colors,
00:56and I stick with them throughout the whole year,
00:59and this year's gonna be the orange
01:01with the flame temper handle,
01:03and I think it's just clean, classy,
01:05but also screams Francisco Lindor.
01:12These are my Lindor 2s.
01:15Me being a sneakerhead,
01:16I have my own line with New Balance.
01:19I want to be able to wear mine on and off the field,
01:22not just in the batting cages.
01:23I want to go everywhere with them,
01:25so I put a basketball sole on them
01:28so I can transition from one place to a different one.
01:31Just wanted to make it more lifestyle.
01:33Here, it says be consistent,
01:35which is something my dad have always told me,
01:38and then staying positive.
01:40This is definitely one of my essentials.
01:44This is one of my favorite watches,
01:46FP Yarn Vertical Tourbillon.
01:48Made out of gold, it's something that's hard to do.
01:52Extremely elegant, subtle, understated,
01:55something that I could wear to a lot of different places,
01:58and people don't really know what it is,
02:00and I love that.
02:01My accessories, I want them to be subtle, clean, simple,
02:04to be able to wear them in different places
02:06around the world.
02:07So the one I'm wearing is a Super Sonare AP,
02:11which is also a fantastic watch.
02:14It's black on black,
02:15and one of the coolest things of this watch
02:18is I can make it shine.
02:20So it tells me the time, I don't have to look at it,
02:23and I know exactly what time it is.
02:30My bicycles, they don't fit here,
02:32and I didn't wanna travel with them,
02:34so I couldn't bring them.
02:36Everyone that's really close to me knows I love cycling.
02:40It's something I picked up since I was a little kid
02:43with my brother, he was the one that taught me
02:44how to ride a bike.
02:45To be able to go for three, four hours, no headphones,
02:49and just look at the road,
02:51it's something that brings peace to me.
02:53You know, I have my Pinarello F12 Orange,
02:57and then I have my F-Dogma Pinarello as well.
02:59I'm a Pinarello guy.
03:01I dress up, I think I'm a professional cyclist.
03:04I'm nowhere near them,
03:06because every time I'm three hours in the saddle,
03:09I'm questioning myself, why am I doing this?
03:12I don't ride in New York.
03:14I ride back home in Florida,
03:16where the streets are a little bit better than New York,
03:19and the drivers are not as crazy.
03:21This is a product that I recently found,
03:26the K18 product.
03:28Since I bleach my hair and I do colors
03:30and all that crazy stuff,
03:31this helps with my breakage of my curls.
03:34And then now that I'm braiding my hair a lot,
03:37oil is very essential, you know,
03:39to keep the scalp hydrated
03:41and to make sure you don't get a lot of dandruff.
03:44I break into hair, I care about hair.
03:46I think it's part of people's DNA.
03:49It's literally my roots,
03:51literally will come through my hair.
03:56People know me as Mr. Smile.
03:58Some people know me as that.
03:59Some people know me as Paquito.
04:01I tell my wife, with my daughters,
04:04these are non-negotiables in the house.
04:06This is part of the non-negotiables.
04:08We gotta brush our teeth morning and night.
04:10There's nothing better than a clean mouth, you know?
04:13When you start brushing and you finish
04:15and you go anywhere, you feel so much more confident
04:18when your mouth don't stink.
04:24Another big essential in my life is Oakley glasses.
04:27This past year, I've been rocking
04:29a lot of the old school metal frames.
04:31And this is the Juliette and this is the MagForce.
04:35Sunglasses make me feel some type of way.
04:38You know, it's like sometimes I put them on
04:41and then it's just like, don't talk to me,
04:43I'm in my own world.
04:46I used to have a joke with my daughter
04:46that when I put the sunglasses on, I'm Miguel,
04:50and when I take them off, I'm Francisco.
04:53So when I have glasses on, I'm Miguel, don't talk to me,
04:57I'm not Francisco, don't call me Lindor.
04:58Same thing with my daughter.
04:59My daughter says she puts the glasses, she's Zoe,
05:02and when she takes the glasses off, she's Kalina.
05:04So yeah, it just makes you feel some type of way.
05:10This ring, I have the matching ring with my wife.
05:15This part symbolizes half her heart.
05:17She has the other one, and then this is,
05:19she has the matching one, red ruby.
05:22I initially bought them to do earrings,
05:25and then I had the idea of creating a ring
05:27that we can both have and match.
05:30This symbolizes the same thing.
05:32This is my Pola, my daughter, this is her birthstone,
05:35and I have different ones that I use.
05:37Once I got married, I started using the rings,
05:39and everything else, it just became more like accessories,
05:42like I'm big into accessories.
05:45Same thing with the necklace.
05:48The necklace symbolizes my family,
05:50the different color schemes I have, different birthstones.
05:53It has hearts, it's got squares, it's got circles.
05:56It symbolizes how life to me is,
05:58that not everything's the same, not everyone's the same,
06:01but you gotta treat them the same
06:03with the same amount of respect.
06:04This was made by Material Goods,
06:07close friends over there, Yoni, and he helped me with this.
06:10And somebody I look up to, Pharrell,
06:12he has something similar.
06:13Styles usually come from somebody,
06:16whether it was back in the 80s, or the 70s,
06:18or 90s, whatever era, you always look at people,
06:21and from there, you try to get something from that era,
06:24and you try to bring it back,
06:25and that's kinda how I do with my style.
06:30Perfume is very important.
06:31I feel like you don't wanna smell bad.
06:33I think it started with my mom growing up.
06:35She always had something spraying on herself,
06:38or in the car, or me, when I come up,
06:40I don't know, basal feel, and I smell.
06:42She was just spraying something on me.
06:44It just makes you feel fresh, and yeah,
06:50this is a good one.
06:52This is not the one that should be worn today,
06:55but I always lie.
06:57Whenever somebody asks me what I'm wearing, I lie.
07:00So if I tell you something that I'm wearing, it's not that.
07:04I'm lying to you.
07:05Just know that I'm lying to you,
07:07because I don't want you to smell like me.
07:08I might tell you three different things,
07:10and you're gonna go, and you're gonna grab them,
07:13you're gonna put them on,
07:13and you will never smell like me,
07:15because I will never give you what I'm wearing that day.
07:17Thank you, GQ, for watching.
07:19I appreciate it.
07:20I hope you guys liked it.
