00:00The National Food Authority, NFA, assured that it will not lower the price of buying rice from farmers.

00:08And to be able to buy more rice, the NFA helped the cooperatives and local governments to add their warehouses.

00:35That's what National Food Authority or NFA Administrator Larry Lacson assured in the middle of the increase of farmers

00:42in the buying stations of the agencies to sell their rice.

00:47Lacson explained, it's normal that the queue is getting longer because the peak season is approaching.

00:53And to continue to help the farmers, the NFA's purchase of rice is higher compared to the traders and millers.

01:02In fact, their purchase of clean and dry for 18 to 19 pesos for new rice is at 24 pesos.

01:11The NFA also increased their buying price to 19 pesos in regions 1, 2, and 3 that have high production.

01:19We understand and we understand the increase of our farmers now.

01:24Even if we don't want this to happen, the price of traders will be low.

01:29We will not lower the price unless it increases because we know the increase of our farmers.

01:38Why are the NFA's stores getting full?

01:41Because there are a lot of sellers, the agencies are coordinating with cooperatives and LGUs to supply rice.

01:50The NFA's urgent task is to remind President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

01:56that Filipinos should not be neglected in farming.
