00:00Costs will go up for the wealthy and for big corporations and for hard-working middle-class
00:05families. Costs will go down. Yes, they will pay more in taxes but less in health care.
00:11I do understand that I and other progressives will face massive attacks from those who attempt
00:33to use the word socialism as a slur.
00:41If I said to you, are you a capitalist, you would say what? Yes.
00:53I am the longest-serving independent in the history of the United States Congress. The
00:57only way at this particular moment in history that we could run an effective campaign was
01:02within the Democratic primary and caucus process, and that's what we're doing.
01:19When the Democrats have the White House again, if Mitch McConnell tries to do what he did
01:26to President Obama and puts small-minded partisanship ahead of solving the massive
01:34problems in this country, then we should get rid of the filibuster.
01:52People who have health care under Medicare for All will have no premiums, no deductibles,
01:57no copayments, no out-of-pocket expenses. Yes, they will pay more in taxes but less
02:03in health care.
02:09When we pass Medicare for All, it's going to mean that the very richest in this country,
02:15wealthy individuals and big corporations, are going to pay more, but middle-class families
02:20are going to pay less.
02:43We're going to transform this country and create an economy and a government that finally
02:50works for all of us, not just wealthy campaign contributors.
02:53Thank you all very much.
02:59Millions of American families are also struggling to survive in a system that's been rigged,
03:05rigged by the wealthy and the well-connected.
