00:37Roll them out there, let them hit against as many left-handers as you want, deal with
00:41the struggles, and just go from there.

00:47And so what's the alternative?
00:49You put Evan Carter, let's just say 8th, 8th in the lineup against right-handed pitchers,
00:55and then bench him most of the time against left-handed pitchers.
00:58Okay, then how's he going to get better against left-handed pitchers?
01:04Or you can let him hit, not every day, but like a lot against left-handed pitchers and
01:13you will sink or swim that way.
01:15And I don't want to say you don't care if you win in the minor leagues, but obviously
01:21it's nowhere near as imperative as the big club.
01:25The minor leagues are for work.
01:27The big leagues are you've worked and you're going to do the work, but the only time you're
01:32working on something is spring training.
01:34Everything else from there, you better be ready to go.
01:37So this makes all the sense in the world to me.
01:41Evan Carter is still super young.
01:44I go back to, you know, somebody texted in, and I understand this concern, that they are
01:50worried that Evan Carter might be a flash in the pan.
01:54I don't think that, but I will say, don't you think some of that trends back to the
02:01shock of when he was drafted?
02:03Like if Evan Carter would have been drafted and people on MLB network, instead of saying,
02:08who the hell is this kid?
02:09Would have been like steel.
02:11What a steal from the Texas Rangers.
02:13So I think some of that baggage, which I don't, I don't believe is fair whatsoever.
02:17I think some of that baggage of like, why did he get drafted?
02:20So I, who is that is part of what people are afraid of.
02:24He's 22.
02:26He doesn't turn 23 until the end of August.
02:30He could not be on the big club again until 2027.
02:37And you'd be like, that's still pretty young major league baseball player.
