00:00You can't be the greatest player of all times if you have only one quality.
00:05But her biggest quality is her mental strength.
00:08She gave me a call and she asked me if she could come to Muratoglu Academy to prepare
00:32for Wimbledon.
00:33I said yes, of course.
00:35And she came, she asked me to have two hitting partners, she started to practice for 45 minutes.
00:40When she asked me my feedback, I told her exactly that.
00:43I said I see in your practice the same mistakes as the ones you made in your match and I explained
00:51her which ones.
00:52And she liked it that I was really honest and telling her my feeling and I was not scared
00:57about her.
00:58I think when people are honest and you can feel it, it's easier to trust them and I think
01:02there is a lot of trust between us.
01:12I understand that people see Serena as someone who's more powerful than other players because
01:18she's strong and she's naturally like that and it's an asset.
01:22But it's also a weakness because you need to change direction very fast so the muscles
01:28are heavy.
01:29So that's not the reason why she is who she is.
01:32She doesn't have the same mindset as most of the players.
01:35She has the mindset of a champion, it's way different.
01:38She has high expectations, she has high ambitions.
01:42She puts the bar incredibly high, whatever she does.
02:03When I was a kid, I was obsessed with tennis, that was my passion and I was sure I would
02:07become a top player.
02:09That was my goal, my only goal.
02:11When I got to 15 years old, my parents thought it was much too risky to go and embrace a
02:16tennis career.
02:17I was lucky enough to have a passion in life.
02:20Not everyone has passions and I felt like my role was to help young players achieve
02:27what I could not achieve when I was a kid.
02:29So this frustration, I thought, I'm going to use it to build something very positive
02:34for other people.
02:35Education is a key and it has always been my focus.
02:39My goal again was to help young players achieve their full potential.
02:56In tennis, it's not always easy.
02:58First of all, you lose a lot of matches.
03:01Second of all, there are a lot of difficult moments and that's the moments when you can
03:04lose your belief in yourself.
03:06When you lose it, you're done.
03:08Work on your strength rather than work on your weaknesses because you're going to become
03:12the best version of yourself by building on your strength.
