00:46The House of Representatives impeachment prosecutors ask the Senate to issue a writ of summons
00:50to Vice President Sara Duterte and direct her to respond to the impeachment complaint
00:55against her.
00:56The prosecutors address the entry with a motion to issue summons to Senate President
01:00Francis Escudero.
01:01They ask that the Vice President be given 10 days to file her answer to the Articles
01:05of Impeachment after receiving the summons.
01:08The prosecution based its request on the verified impeachment complaint sent to the Senate on
01:12February 5 and the constitutional provision that upon impeachment by at least one-third
01:17of the House, quote, the same shall constitute the Articles of Impeachment, and trial by
01:21the Senate shall forthwith proceed.
01:23The motion is signed by Four-Peace Representative Marcelino Libanan on behalf of the House
01:27prosecutors.
01:28Meantime, Escudero says he will refer the matter to the Senate legal team and will discuss
01:32it with them on Wednesday, March 26.
01:37Economic professor and former finance undersecretary Shelo Magno files a cyber-libel complaint
01:42against blogger Sas Sasot for, quote-unquote, malicious, demeaning, and defamatory imputations.
01:48Magno says in a Facebook post, quote, it's time to push back and to use all the legal
01:51remedies that are available to us to put an end to this display of impunity.
01:55This is Sasot's post that led to the complaint.
01:58Shelo Magno is so angry with Mary Grace Piatos that she gave a few billion pesos to congressmen
02:03to find this person.
02:04She is indeed an economics professor.
02:06There is demand.
02:07There is supply.
02:08The last part refers to Magno's Facebook post from 2023 where she seemed to question
02:13President Marcos' rise price cap using a basic supply and demand chart.
02:17She was later asked to resign from her position as finance undersecretary.
02:21Sasot is a well-known pro-Duterte blogger who has frequently spread disinformation,
02:25pro-China propaganda, and attacks against critics of the Duterte family.
02:31Demonstrators gathered at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate on Sunday, March 23, some holding banners
02:36with photos of extrajudicial killing victims of Rodrigo Duterte's brutal drug war.
02:40The demonstrators represented activist groups Alpas Filipinas, Gabriela Germany, and International
02:45Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines, Germany, and other international groups.
02:49They celebrated Duterte's March 11 arrest and detention by the International Criminal
02:53Court in The Hague.
02:55They also called for the arrest and prosecution of his allies who played a role in the violent
02:59anti-drug campaign, including former Philippine National Police Chief Bato de la Rosa.
03:04Protesters read the names of those killed in the drug war, including Kian de los Santos.
03:08The demonstrators also warned against becoming complacent, urging human rights groups and
03:12international watchdogs to stay vigilant in ensuring Duterte is held fully accountable.
03:18Top White House officials mistakenly disclosed war plans in a group chat which included a
03:23journalist just before the United States attacked Houthi rebels in Yemen.
03:27The White House confirms this following a firsthand account by The Atlantic Editor-in-Chief

03:32Goldberg says he was unexpectedly invited on March 13 to an encrypted chat group called
03:36the Houthi PC Small Group.
03:38Hours before the Yemen attacks, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth posted operational details about
03:43the plan in the messaging group, which Goldberg says included information about targets, weapons
03:48the U.S. would be deploying, and attack sequencing.
03:51Goldberg says members of the group chat appeared to be the following officials, which include
03:55Vice President J.D. Vance and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
03:59U.S. National Security Council Spokesperson Brian Hughes says the chat group appeared to
04:03be authentic and they are reviewing how an inadvertent number was added to the chain.
04:08Democratic lawmakers swiftly blasted the misstep, saying it was a breach of national security
04:12and a violation of law that must be investigated by Congress.
04:18Golf legend Tiger Woods confirms his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald
