00:07They were charged with Preventive Suspension Without Pay while investigating an allegation of misallocation

00:14or misuse of Php 130 million worth of PhilHealth funds.

00:20According to the complaint, it was used for things that have nothing to do with health,

00:26such as IT equipment, repair and maintenance of infrastructures, etc.

00:33According to the complaint, it is against the Universal Health Care Act

00:37that states that any income from PhilHealth payments should be used for the improvement of the LGU health system.

00:47According to the decision, the Ombudsman filed a petition to suspend them from Preventive Suspension

00:54so that the investigation will not be affected, as well as the possible evidence in their custody.

01:01In an interview, Chodoro said that he believes that the suspension is politically motivated

01:08and is part of the move to prevent his candidacy in the May elections.

01:14However, he will remain a candidate and will not give up.

01:19He is confident that their defense is strong and they will prove that the allegations have no basis or merit.
