00:00Speaker, building Australia's future also means building on the strength of our regions.
00:06That's why we're securing banking services in country towns and flights in the bush.
00:11It's also why we're investing up to three billion dollars in additional equity to complete
00:16the rollout of the National Broadband Network.
00:20Infrastructure like the NBN is essential for communities and students and businesses and
00:25to the productivity of our nation.
00:27And so are the roads and railways connecting our regions to our cities and supporting economic
00:33growth.
00:34This budget provides 17.1 billion dollars over 10 years for these projects, including
00:407.2 billion dollars to upgrade the Bruce Highway in Queensland, the biggest ever investment
00:46in the Bruce.
00:472.3 billion dollars for Western Sydney, with one billion of that for the rail network alone.
00:54And 2 billion dollars towards transforming Sunshine Station, taking our Melbourne Airport
00:58rail investments to 7 billion dollars.
01:02In total, we're investing more than 120 billion dollars in infrastructure in every state and
01:08territory over the decade, improving the productivity, resilience, liveability and sustainability
01:14of our cities, regions and communities, accompanied by 262 million dollars to preserve and conserve
01:22our natural land and our ocean assets.
