00:00to make America healthy again.
00:02The President Thank you very much.
00:04That's great.
00:05If you might, Madam Secretary, say a little bit about what's happening and how well we've
00:09done at the border?
00:10Secretary Sebelius Sir, this last week, I was in Arizona, California, Alaska, and Florida,
00:17and CBP literally has almost 100 percent operational control of the border, which means that our
00:24country is secure and that we know who's coming into this country and that they love our country
00:28and they want to help keep it great into the future.
00:32We are in the month of March.
00:34The last couple of weeks increased our deportations by 50 percent, so we're now not even just
00:40getting the worst of the worst out.
00:42We're making sure that there's consequences for being here and committing crimes in our
00:46communities, and the numbers are continuing to escalate and to go up, sir.
00:50This next week, I'm headed, or this week, I'm headed down to El Salvador.
00:54I'll be in the prison where we sent TDA members.
00:57I'll be meeting with the president and also Colombia and Mexico and talking about building
01:01these relationships so that we can continue to get people out of this country that don't
01:06belong here and take them home.
01:09Also, you had talked to me about sending the message worldwide about the fact that people
01:13shouldn't be coming to this country, and they shouldn't be coming here illegally.
01:17We are in several other countries around the world with a message right now that's saying,
01:22if you are thinking about coming to America illegally and coming here, don't do it.
01:26You are not welcome.
01:28We have a legal process to becoming a United States citizen, and there are consequences
01:32if you come here illegally, and America has changed because we're putting Americans first.
01:37So, we've also, the Coast Guard has done phenomenal work, I don't know if you all have reported
01:41on it, but we have broken historic records in the amount of drug interdictions that they
01:46have brought in.
01:47We've repositioned the fleet to go after the fentanyl crisis and to go after the southern
01:52border and securing it, and they've done amazing work as far as that.
01:56We were down in Florida, they brought in a half a billion dollars' worth of cocaine that
02:02they had done in 14 interdictions and had brought them in, going right directly after
02:08the cartels and doing great work there.
02:12And we have a cutter that we have sped up the process, sir, the icebreaker, that'll
02:16be hitting the waters here this summer, and we've got two more that will be coming.
02:21But, you know, Russia is using their cutters and icebreakers up in the Arctic to do surveillance
02:26on us, and we're going to reposition our fleet to continue to partner.
02:29I want to thank the Secretary of Defense and the Navy for all of their help and partnership,
02:34too.
02:35We do operations together because they're, obviously, Navy warships are in certain regions,
02:39but our cutters are faster and can work together in a partnership that's securing America.
02:45And we're going to eliminate FEMA.
02:47So we've got a lot to do, but it's all good.
02:51And we're working hard, and we're going to make sure that we're continuing to do exactly
02:53what you promised.
02:54That's great.
02:55Great job.
02:56Yesterday, there was a plaza that you know well, there'd be hundreds of thousands of
03:00people standing at that plaza, pouring into our country, totally unchecked, many people
03:07from jails and prisons and mental institutions and gang members and horrible, horrible.
03:14And they just pour into our country.
03:16I was speaking to somebody, I was checking on the border, and they said there was literally
03:21nobody in this massive plaza.
03:23You know we're talking a plaza that would hold hundreds of thousands of people.
03:30There was literally nobody there.
03:32There was one person sweeping it, but there were no people.
03:36It's been amazing.
03:37It's been an amazing transformation very quickly.
03:40And we're getting the bad ones out first, and we're taking them out.
03:44And there's some really bad ones, really bad ones, murders, murders of more than one
03:48people.
03:49At least 50% murdered more than one person.
03:52This is the people that we're letting in through their open border policy.
03:56It was terrible.
03:57But I want to just congratulate you and Tom Holman on the job you've done.
04:02You've been a-
04:03Sir, Boston this weekend, hundreds of dangerous criminals were removed, four killers taken
04:09out of the country just by what they did in Boston this last few days.
04:13And these are killers that there's no reasoning.
04:15It's not like, oh, let's talk them out of it.
04:17These are stone-cold killers.
04:19They don't care.
04:20They don't even think about it.
04:21They kill somebody.
04:22They go to sleep.
04:23They wake up.
04:24They don't even remember they killed them.
04:25These are bad people that should have never been allowed into our country.
