00:00We're part of Farmers to Action, which is a peaceful protest.
00:06Hi, I'm Ken Fallows. I'm part of the Derbyshire Farmers for Action group,
00:11and what we're doing is making sure that people understand what we're here for.
00:16It's not just about inheritance tax for the farmers, although that is a big, big part of it.
00:21That's what's caused a lot of heartbreak.
00:23We want to support the pensioners, the local people. We want to make sure it's fair for everybody.
00:29We see a government at the moment that aren't listening to us.
00:32They're not willing to talk to us, and all we want to do is talk with them
00:35to find out why they're putting these huge tax burdens on people,
00:40how we can help make it easier for everybody.
00:44This isn't about just us not paying tax. We all pay tax.
00:48We work very, very hard, and farmers are used to working hard.
00:52They're not frightened of paying the extra hours or the extra miles for anybody.
00:57What we want to do is make it fair for everybody.
01:00We have huge burdens on us to make sure that we use the right chemicals and the right medicines.
01:06We're really happy that we've got some of the highest welfare for animals in the world,
01:11and we need to make sure that people realise this is what they're getting when they buy British food.
