00:00Didn't find love, so here I am and this isn't going to work.
00:03I'm sure it's going to work.
00:04And then they're crying by day two.
00:10Nick and Vanessa, how do you keep things fresh?
00:12Love is Blind Season 8, we are all the way here.
00:15How are we renewing and reinventing ourselves?
00:17Different cities, I think, make a huge difference.
00:20You are going to see a different cast in Minneapolis than you had in D.C.,
00:24than you had prior in Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta.
00:28That's an element that really takes form that you start noticing in the pods
00:32and then you really see when they go back to their hometown.
00:34Yeah, the personalities of the people are different,
00:36but the city's personalities are different.
00:38They bring that to each and every season,
00:40which definitely differentiates one from the other.
00:42I mean, you look at Texas and you look at D.C., completely different casts.
00:45And also different values.
00:47Certain cities have different values.
00:49Some just want to work, work, work.
00:51Some are more into what the look is and the glam.
00:56And some are just more into their families.
00:58Some are more physical than others.
01:00So it's a factor that they take into consideration,
01:02which ultimately, I think, is, like I said, another character when people find each other.
01:06Big time.
01:07Big time, yeah.
01:08So now that the show's been on for so long,
01:09do you feel like more people are coming on with the goal of being famous?
01:12I don't think so.
01:14I mean, I think anytime you have a successful franchise,
01:17like thankfully Love is Blind has become,
01:19you certainly run the risk of that happening.
01:21But we see every year people in that lounge who are genuinely there
01:25because they cannot find what they're looking for in their conventional dating scene in their city.
01:30And so they're willing to take a chance on this radical experience,
01:34this experiment called Love is Blind.
01:36And thankfully we've seen 13 marriages in seven seasons,
01:4010 of them still together to this day.
01:42So the formula works.
01:43It works and it's been proven to work.
01:45And I think that people, for the most part,
01:47you might have a curveball every now and then.
01:49But you can tell really quickly.
01:52Ultimately, everyone wants to find love.
01:54And we get to take the guessing work out.
01:56Like everyone here, the end goal is to be standing at the altar to say,
01:58I do, God willing.
02:00But if there is someone that sneaks through,
02:02once you're in the pods for 10 days and you are detached from your cell phone,
02:06from your family, friends, work, and all of the noise,
02:09you start seeing people's true colors.
02:11Most of them, I would say over half of them are really genuine and really want to be there.
02:15My favorite are the skeptical guys that are like,
02:17didn't find love, so here I am and this isn't going to work.
02:20I'm not sure it's going to work.
02:21And they're crying by day two.
02:23But if there is someone that is like just very matter of fact
02:26that you think maybe just wants to be famous, I feel like you see that.
02:30You see that in, and either production doesn't follow them because they see it as well.
02:35And the goal isn't to call people out or be salacious.
02:38You know, we truly, Chris the creator at Kinetic truly believes in love,
02:42truly wants to celebrate it, and wants people to find their person.
02:45So he's not trying to call people out.
02:48But at the end of the day, if someone does say or do something that's just like,
02:51okay, you kind of did it to yourself and we have to put this out there
02:53so people know moving forward, maybe don't ask that question on a date.
02:56Maybe don't act that way.
02:57Don't ask if somebody can go sit on your shoulders.
02:59Exactly.
03:00See, because it might not be the reaction that everyone's looking for.
03:03So if you two met behind a wall, would you have chosen each other?
03:06Rapid fire.
03:07Yes.
03:08100%.
03:09Yes.
03:10Personality is strong.
03:11And I heard your first date was at Hooters.
03:13Yes.
03:14Trenton Hooters.
03:15Different than behind a wall.
03:16I was doing a show in Trenton, New Jersey.
03:17She was working in the city.
03:18I said, hey, why don't you come down and see the show?
03:20And so I didn't think she'd do it.
03:22It was a little bit of a test maybe.
03:23But she got on the train and came down to Trenton.
03:25Did I pass the test, baby?
03:26On a Monday night.
03:27You passed the test.
03:28And they tested me again and said, we're going to Hooters.
03:29And I was like, did I pass the test?
03:30Well, Hooters was the only thing open on a Monday night in Trenton, New Jersey.
03:33You know what's funny?
03:34We were just on Kelly Clarkson's show, and she was like,
03:36that's just him being an artist on tour.
03:39Like when it's late night, show's over, it's 1130, 12 o'clock, and you're hungry,
03:43it's Hooters.
03:44That's all that's open.
03:46Or Waffle House.
03:47But there was no Waffle House in Jersey.
03:49Last little fun question.
03:51Have you ever gotten into a fight over Love is Blind?
03:53Yes.
03:54100%.
03:55Yep.
03:56Driving to reunions.
03:57We definitely don't see eye to eye on everything.
03:59I'm like, that's the way you see this?
04:00No, no, no.
04:01And I was like, there's no way that she did that.
04:04And he's like, absolutely.
04:05And he literally ends it with, we're going to agree to disagree.
04:09Well, that's good communication.
04:11We love it.
04:12I've actually walked away in a couple seasons.
04:13I remember vividly watching them when we were in Hawaii,
04:15and I was like, I've got to walk away.
04:16I can't believe that you think that.
04:18Well, it's too real.
04:19Yeah.
04:20No, I think we're like any other couple out there watching it.
04:22We see things differently.
04:23We root for people differently.
04:25We're the hosts of the show, obviously, but we—
04:27Obviously.
04:28Obviously.
04:29I think that's just your word.
04:31Even more importantly, we're fans of the show.
04:33We love watching it.
04:34We're as invested as anybody else.
04:36Yeah.
