00:00They sound cheesy as they appear incredulous, but nothing about the latest discovery of

00:05outrageous and funny-sounding names submitted by the office of the Vice President in its

00:11trove of acknowledgement receipts is petty or trivial.

00:15Instead, it has provided the House Prosecutorial Panel in the impending impeachment trial more

00:22ammunition to prove its case.

00:24The Vice President knew or had a hand in the scheme to defraud the government of tens or

00:30even hundreds of millions in confidential and intelligence funds over the last two years

00:36as we hear more from our Mela Lismoras.

00:40Amoy Liu, Fernan Amoy, and Jug de Asim.

00:46These were the new names discovered by the House of Representatives from the acknowledgement

00:50receipts of Vice President Santa Duterte's millions of pesos in confidential funds from

00:552022 to 2023.

00:58House Deputy Majority Leader Paulo Ortega even dubbed them as the so-called Team Amoy-Asim.

01:04Although it may sound funny, the congressman expressed his dismay the list of suspicious

01:09names who allegedly received the Vice President's confidential funds has kept on growing.

01:14What's even worse is, once again, the allegedly new members of the Boodle Gang have no records

01:20in the Philippine Statistics Authority database.

01:50This issue has also reached Malacanang and they believe the Vice President should provide an explanation.

02:21Earlier, VP Sara has insisted there were no irregularities in her use of confidential funds.

02:32But the lower house still continues its investigation into the matter as part of its preparations

02:37for the Vice President's impeachment trial.

02:40For Ortega, the newly gathered evidence is significant to strengthening their case.
