Tamim Iqbal Suffers Heart Attack During DPL Match

Tamim Iqbal suffered a massive heart attack during a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) 2025 match on Monday, March 24. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The former Bangladesh cricket team captain was playing in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Shinepukur Cricket Club when he experienced chest pain. He had left the field to see the doctors and returned to the ground to be airlifted to another hospital when he felt chest pain once again. He was rushed to the Fazilatunnesa Hospital for treatment. Later, reports stated that he underwent angioplasty and has been kept under observation at the hospital. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials called off a meeting to visit Tamim Iqbal at the hospital. Fans and members of the cricket fraternity wished a speedy recovery to the 36-year-old. Tamim Iqbal, a stalwart for Bangladesh, had announced his retirement from international cricket earlier this year.
