00:00If we take a look at the anticipated standings, as I like to say, with the odds, the Yankees, the Orioles, the Red Sox, the Rays, and the Blue Jays in that order.
00:08Price points, Yankees plus 160, Orioles plus 280, along with the Boston Red Sox, and then the Rays at 7-1, and the Blue Jays at 10-1.
00:16Tom, when you see these numbers, what sticks out to you first?
00:19You know, it sticks out to me that the Red Sox odds have changed quite a bit.
00:24Earlier in the offseason, they were at 4-1, thereabout, and obviously, we've had some news with the Yankees that Garrett Cole has done for the season.
00:31Stanton is likely starting the year on the IEL, and frankly, at this point, if you don't have a bet out there, I think the bet would be to pick the Orioles or the Red Sox.
00:41I would not be going to the Yankees at this point, and you've got to have faith in one of these teams, right?
00:45You have to have faith that the Red Sox made the right moves in the offseason, bringing in someone like Garrett Croce, signing Walker Buehler.
00:51Now, some of their young talent will develop, and then you have to have faith in the Orioles that also their young talent will continue to develop.
00:57They also have to be a little bit more aggressive at the trade deadline, where they have to be willing to give up one or two of these prospects to get a top talent pitcher to go alongside.
01:05And if what they haven't, and Grayson Rodriguez might not be ready to start the year for the Orioles, so they need some other arms in that rotation, and I really think they need to make that move.
01:16So, I have no interest in the Yankees, even though I am a Yankees fan. I think going to the Orioles or the Red Sox would be the right move from a betting perspective.
