00:00I have chills. I just heard here that the estimates that we have already is 30,000 people.
00:20I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the effort to be here today.
00:37I want to thank you for taking that time and thank you for making that effort.
00:47Thank you. In fact, we're all here together because we share in the frustration and heartache that comes from watching those in power.
00:59Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you.
01:11In fact, we're all here together because we share in the frustration and heartache that comes from watching those in power actively tear down or refuse to fight for working Americans like us.
01:31We're all here together because an extreme concentration of power and corruption is taking over this country like never before.
01:42And we are here, most importantly, because we know that a better world is possible.
01:53But before we get there, we need to be honest about where we are. We are witnessing an oligarchy in America.
02:03Where folks with the most economic, political, and technological power destroy the public good to enrich themselves while millions of Americans pay the price.
02:19Our political system is ill-prepared for this kind of abuse of power.
02:25In fact, much of our political system enables it, starting with the role of money in politics.
02:36But I'm here to remind you today, Denver, that we are not powerless in this moment.
02:43People are starting to put the pieces together.
02:47And, ironically, some of the most divisive forces in our country are actually bringing more of us together than ever before.
02:57And that's important.
03:00Because the same billionaires who are taking a wrecking ball to our country derive their power from dividing working people apart.
03:13They specialize in getting us to turn against one another along lines of left and right, race and gender, creed and culture.
03:26And it's all to keep us distracted.
03:30Because the last thing they want is for us to realize that the real division and the real harm in this country is how endless greed is costing the lives of everyone else.
