00:00Liam, thank you for joining us. Congratulations on a win. First win under Scott Lindsay in
00:05his second spell. How did it feel out there?
00:07Yeah, great. Obviously we had a good day of training yesterday to set us up for how we
00:14wanted to play and how we wanted to move forward. Obviously all the lads are behind them and
00:19we're just looking forward to building off this win to go into next week and continue
00:24this momentum.
00:25Yeah, it looked like the lads had a real intensity out there. It was very fast-paced. Was that
00:29sort of what Scott demanded in training yesterday?
00:31Yeah, absolutely. I think a lot of the guys played with him in his first spell with the
00:37club so they knew what his expectations were. Obviously this is my first time working with
00:42Scott but everything that I've gotten from him and how he wants to play and how he wants
00:48us to work is super consistent with how I think about football. So it's been great so
00:53far.
00:54Yeah, and obviously this is the first time we've spoken to you since you joined the club.
00:57How have you been finding it overall?
00:58Yeah, it's been good. Obviously we're in a difficult situation right now but at the same
01:05time I've enjoyed my football and if this is a sign of what's to come for the next eight
01:13games now then I'm looking forward to it. Obviously I just want to get the preparation
01:19started for next week.
01:20Yeah, and how have you found the adaptation from the American leagues over here? Is there
01:25any key differences?
01:27No, not much. I think just the overall intensity in each match is elevated here because there's
01:36a lot more at stake with promotion and relegation. But no, I've thoroughly enjoyed every bit
01:43of it so far.
01:44Yeah, and how much can a win like today instil a bit of belief in the players? Because as
01:48you say there's eight or nine games to go and it's still a big uphill that we've got
01:53to climb but it's doable, isn't it? So it must be a good feeling there at the moment.
01:56No, absolutely. I think until it's mathematically impossible everybody has to have the belief
02:02that we have the ability to stay up and that's kind of the only mindset that we're going
02:09to allow ourselves to have going into the remaining games.
02:13Thanks.
02:14Obviously it's been a sort of disruptive week with what happened with Rob Elliott and Scott
02:20coming in. As a player, how much of the noise do you listen to or do you just have to ignore
02:25it to prepare for a game?
02:27Yeah, I think I'm someone who just likes to focus on what they can control. Obviously
02:32that was out of my control so I'm just focusing on the week of training ahead and the match
02:38to prepare for on the weekend.
02:40And obviously some of the players, like you said, have worked with Scott before. Did they
02:44prepare you for what he was like, what his character was like and that personality?
02:48Yeah, I mean I don't think there's much preparation. I think Scott's a guy who loves football,
02:53loves to win and his intensity today and in previous matches he shows that. I feel like
02:59he wears his heart on his sleeve and I can appreciate that in my manager. So I'm really
03:06looking forward to continuing to work with him and hopefully this is a sign for us to
03:10stay up and continue to push.
03:13And obviously the fans were amazing today. Obviously having Scott back out of that, bring
03:16the atmosphere up a bit. How have you found the fans since you've been here?
03:19Yeah, you know we haven't given them much to cheer for or to be happy about and so I
03:26understand their frustration. Maybe in the last, I'm going to say like five to eight
03:31games so I completely understand that. But for them to come out today and as passionate
03:38as they were, whether it was for Scott or whether it was just to get behind us and really
03:43support us, obviously it means a lot to us and it really helps us push a game like today
03:49over the line.
