00:00Thank you, thank you all for coming here today.
00:10First and foremost, thank you Dilraju Garu, I mean, for readily accepting, you know, to
00:17be bringing this film to the wonderful audience in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
00:23We actually called him very late, we were setting up the project, we were sort of putting
00:28it together and very late we called him and I called him one day and I said, sir, my film
00:32said, yeah, yeah, it's done, you know, so thank you for the confidence and thank you
00:35for…
00:36Why I am saying thank you is because it takes people like Dilraju Garu to really understand
00:43that this film is not just another film from our industry, this is a project where the
00:48entire Malayalam film industry is aspiring to really push our boundaries.
00:52We have not tried something like this before, so we really hope that this is the beginning
00:57of a lot of things for us.
01:03And one very important thing that I would really like to tell you is, you know, usually
01:07when you ask a director, sir, which version of your film should we see, the director usually
01:11says try and catch the original version with subtitles, that is the most, you know, honest
01:16version.
01:17But for this particular film, I am going to be confident enough to tell you, for my Telugu
01:21speaking friends, please watch the Telugu version, because we have really made an effort,
01:28we have really put in an effort to try and make the Telugu version as honest as possible,
01:33as authentic as possible.
01:35Yeah, both versions Dilraju Garu will release in Hyderabad and Telangana and all over Andhra
01:41Pradesh, but I… if you are a Telugu speaking film lover, I would love for it, for you to
01:44go and watch the Telugu version of this film.
01:47This is, of course, the second part of Lucifer.
01:52When we did Lucifer in 2019, we did not have an all India release and all that.
01:57We only released the Malayalam version first and, you know, it was not like a pan-Indian
02:00release and all that.
02:01Lucifer then went on to garner a lot of love and adoration from film lovers after it premiered
02:06on a streaming service.
02:08So it is your love, your acceptance for Lucifer that made this project possible.
02:14But today, as we are at the, you know, fag end of the promotional campaign and going
02:18to release the film, one thing I am really happy about is, we have now managed for the
02:22second part of the franchise to properly give it a release all over the country and all
02:26over the world.
02:27And the acceptance and the anticipation and the excitement ever since the ticket booking
02:33has opened has actually caught all of us by surprise.
02:36I mean, we were confident and we were expecting people were excited and the ticket bookings
02:45would be good.
02:46But this is truly beyond all our imagination.
02:50So thank you so much and I really, really hope and pray on the 27th of March, you will
02:55go to the theatres with your family and your friends and you will really enjoy what you
03:00are seeing.
03:01And yeah, only if this becomes a big, big hit, can I make part 3 like Dilraju Garu said.
03:10And yeah, a lot of love to Telugu cinema and audience.
03:14I'm not saying this because I'm in Hyderabad, okay.
03:15I mean, I really, I've only done what, I've done a Telugu film, Tamil Telugu bilingual
03:21like 10-15 years back.
03:22Then after that, I've had the opportunity to be a part of multiple Telugu films, just
03:27did not happen and finally Salar happened.
03:32Salar happened and regarding this boy here, Karthikeya, you know, late one night at 1
03:38am, Prashant sends me a message saying, are you asleep?
03:41I said, no.
03:42Then he said, I'm going to send you something.
03:44So then he sends me a shot that he is shot on his mobile phone from the monitor.
03:50So it's a shot of Karthikeya, young Varadaraja Mannar.
03:54So removing his Khada and throwing it where he is offering, where he is offering his kingdom
04:01for Deva.
04:02Yeah.
04:03So Prashant has sent me that shot.
04:04I immediately called him back and said, do whatever you want with him soon because I'm
04:08taking him.
04:09So that's how I, that's how I cast him in this film and he's a wonderful, wonderful
04:14young actor.
04:15I'd be really disappointed if he does not go on to become a big star here.
04:18So I'm counting on you to do that.
04:21And all of us across the country, especially in Kerala, we are very envious of the audience
04:28here because of the kind of love and excitement you have for cinema.
04:32You know, when we talk of film industries in India right now, the fact of the matter
04:37is Telugu cinema is essentially a regional film industry.
04:41But today it could be India's biggest industry and that is because of the audience here.
04:47And I was like, Dilraju Garu can today think of five, six hundred crore films because of
04:50you guys.
04:51And I really hope Empuran is the beginning of such a journey for Malayalam cinema.
04:57And I really hope that, you know, we find love from all across the country.
05:01And hopefully, you know, we will soon, like Dilraju sir said, Selar, Selar too, of course.
05:10Hopefully we'll all be eventually celebrating Indian cinema together.
05:13So thank you.
05:15Thank you so much.
05:16I actually know very long dialogues in Telugu, but it's from a film that I cannot talk about.
05:37Thank you, Prithviraj Garu.
05:38Thank you so much.
05:39Yes.
