00:00DOTR Secretary Vince Dizon demanded that the toll fees be made free in the area of Balintawag to Marilao,

00:11which is directly affected by the flood in Marilao and which caused heavy traffic in the area due to the collision of two trucks,

00:24DOTR Secretary Vince Dizon called on the leadership of the North Luzon Expressway, or NLEX,

00:33not to allow the toll fees to be made free in the affected areas of the expressway

00:36due to the heavy traffic caused by the collision of two trucks near the Marilao Interchange Bridge.

00:42According to DOTR Secretary Vince Dizon, motorists should not delay in making the toll fees free

00:46because of the heavy traffic that motorists are experiencing every hour and a half.

00:52I am demanding from NLEX that while this is being done and our countrymen are paying for it,

00:59for the area, for the segment that is being paid,

01:04make it free for all of them, so that our countrymen will not have to pay for it.

01:09While this is being done, and while they are paying for it for one and a half hours,

01:16they owe it to the public that they should not delay.

01:20For that segment, for that segment only.

01:22DOTR Secretary Vince Dizon also ordered that the Marilao Interchange Bridge should be completed within a week.

01:29However, according to the leadership of NLEX, the repair of the bridge will take two to three weeks.

01:36At present, the traffic of vehicles in NLEX, particularly in the Marilao area, is still slow.

01:41Although there are three lines that pass, the traffic of vehicles is only 20 to 30 kilometers per hour.

01:48Only Class 1 vehicles are allowed to pass through the affected area, while Class 2 and Class 3 vehicles are not allowed.

01:55The Stop and Go Scheme is also being implemented in the area.

01:58Meanwhile, Secretary Dizon met with various transport groups to discuss the concerns related to the Public Transport Modernization Program.

02:08The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board of LTFRB called on the Manivelan Group to remain open in dialogue with the government.

02:17Next, the sudden increase in the number of transport strikes this day, instead of the next week, as they initially announced.

02:23The stop and go groups heard that the new DOTR Secretary, Secretary Vince, is reaching out and is open to possible improvements.

02:42Officials assured that the government is ready to provide free transportation if the commuters are affected.
