00:12That's just one of the scenarios these cyber warfare officers are tackling at a naval base
00:18in Toulon, southern France.
00:21For two weeks, 15,000 soldiers across all branches of the French armed forces will be
00:27put to the test.
00:28The goal?
00:29To strengthen cyber defenses using real-world scenarios, many inspired by Russia's full-scale
00:36invasion of Ukraine.
00:37Our mission, at first, was to carry out technical sampling of the potentially compromised, infected
00:43system.
00:44Then, once the sampling is done, we will carry out an analysis to find out what happened
00:49to the system.
00:50We train to carry out the procedures, use the tools, so that the day it happens we are
00:57But in the event of a real crisis at sea, the French Navy must learn to react quickly.

01:37army plans to boost its cyber warfare force, growing from 4,000 to 5,000 specialists by
